When i got married in 1999, my sister-in-law was my maid of honor, and she also was kind enough to do my makeup for my wedding. She worked for Stila at the time, and she was a fantastic MUA. I have absolutely no memory of what my makeup looked like, but i do remember thinking it was very beautiful. However, i do like pretty glam looks for everyday, with dramatic eyes and lips, and she did more of a softer "traditional" bridal look (which is probably why it was so forgettable for me). If i could go back and do it again, i would still have her do my makeup, but instead of telling her to just do what she wanted to do, i would tell her to do something sexy and bold and closer to my typical aesthetic. Most importantly, i would do a deep red lip, which is something that not only i love, but my husband has always loved on me as well.

I’m getting married on Sunday and bought the Muse palette, Skin Nova, Skin Dew and Lip Dew especially. I’ve been using the Skin Nova and Lip Dew to help get my face and lips in great condition and I love both! 💞

Ohhhh my goodness i was just thinking how i wanted to ask you to recreate this look

I got married back in '03 and wore neutral, almost coppery eyes. The Body Shoppe used to have eye shadow quad cubes that were amazing and I wore my favorite one with black liquid liner and black mascara. My lips were a slightly warmer version of my natural shade and brows were just slightly tamed. I can't remember what my base was like. My skin tone is a true neutral and my eyes shift between green, blue, and gray and I wanted to something to compliment them. I've always hated blush and bronzer/contour weren't really a thing outside of theater makeup. I just wanted to look like a polished version of myself. Honestly, I'd probably do the same style makeup today. My day to day makeup changes a lot but I feel my original look was flattering and in the photos I think I still look nice.

Am I using this tutorial for the Eras tour next Friday, and not a wedding? Yes. Yes I am😂 still holds up after 2 years🤞🏻
