@@sapphiredragoon4544thats probably a bad idea, i didnt start learning speed flips until early diamond. You should be focusing at ground car control, game sense, and rotations. Once your at gold 2 start with ariels. You should easily get plat with that

Im over twice the age of Sully, but just started playing recently and only now do i realize why my gc friends were so excited every time i made such little improvements here and there when they were teaching me. Seeing it from their perspective through your video makes it make so much sense and you cant help but feel proud!

Kids are great learners. No subconscious predisposition to overwrite to gain understanding. Just straight to the point unfiltered curiosity.

So heartwarming to see small creators meeting up with top players like Sully❤

You’re one of the very few people who can be satirically critical of yourself all the time without it being awkward or annoying, it’s a talent in and of itself

Would love to see more training videos like these. I'm sure they're really inspiring to low ranks and it's always cool to see the players improve so quickly with professional coaching help. It'd be awesome to see some update videos of older training sessions you've done as well!

Sully seems to have a good sense of rotations if he's progressing that quickly. Good for him!

My 6yo plays RL and watching him progress brings me so much joy. Its so incredible how much video games can bring lives together to create memories.

This was really good Sunless, this type of video makes me want to jump back in on Rocket League, and that means that the story telling is strong. Great kid, fantastic coach, and great youtuber makes for good vibes all around.

i hope sunless secretly keeps this going and in a year we have a sequel to this vid

What an enjoyable video, ut was really fun to watch, the format and editing was great and Sully had a great personality to help the video be good, amazed to see his improvement, he can definitely continue going to better ranks, we're all rooting for Sully!!

as someone that had rocket league on steam for years and never touched it until a week ago videos like this is massively inspiring. makes me wanna jump back on right now and play some more games.

Playing with a mate you know and who actually listens to your coms is easier even if they are lower rank. My mate is around plat 3, yet we manage to win like 50% of our GC1 2s lobbies.

Played since 2017 in plat three and he gets there in a month I am quitting rocket league now

You and Gregan both really know how to work with children, lots of patience, and positive reinforcement. If hes having a good time, he is more likely to be engaged and progressing, and he was definetly progressing. I really would like to see another video with him some time in the future, 6 months, a year.

Wholesome video. Just adding that ballchasers are not the fast ones that do their play. They are the ones that do their play, go for the follow up, go for the follow up again and them sit under the ball in case the others whiff never rotating unless to get a big boost. They also take your ball if you are trying to setup anything 😅

I think the positive reinforcement is really helping his confidence

Taking my nephew into gc lobbies when he first started out let him grow so much faster than anybody i have known. It was insane. Honestly sometimes just throwing someone straight into the fire will develop them quicker. Unfortunately, it does not work for everyone but man Im glad you through Sully right into the fire.

its because when u make someone play much higher many skills they pick up/learn will actually be useful skills while if your only playing people your low low rank, your kinda theory craftin what skills u think are best yourself and good chance they dont translate well into higher ranks (ie. sitting in net works in gold [cause golds cant shoot] but not in gc)

this was so wholesome. i play RL with my son who is also 9. At such a young age, I suspect most people underestimate just how good they can be. Well.. you know, relative to their age let's not get ahead of ourselves - we're stuck in plat 1 😅

Dang, how i wish i was in sully's place, am a gold 1 and any match and i could go back to Silver 3. Took 5 matches to go from silver 3 division 4 to gold 1 and i was literally so happy to get there so i kinda know how sully feels to go from silver to plat. Good job Sully and keep up the good work
