As someone who used to go super-hard on the discard meta, I'm all but convinced it's not a bug, it's a feature. The Sphere and Dredge functions didn't exist back then, but what used to happen every once in a while is an opponent, either through card stealing or something in their own deck (typically involving Chaos Gazer), HPJ would be put into a permanent "discard all copies of this at end of turn" state. Apparently, under certain conditions, HPJ can be put in this state through a quirk of how the 'discard' mechanic works. I think it relates to who is discarding what for which side, so when you do something that doesn't typically operate under what you'd expect, it creates that state for the card. Long story short, the second I saw you explain the meta here, I instantly understood what you were talking about, because I accidentally stumbled onto it myself using older metas.

It also keeps all stat buffs, like symphony of sins +6/+6. That's why it discards itself - solarium applies "discard at the end of a turn" buff to it, which it keeps.

It creates copies that keep enchantments. The bug is that "discard this card at the end of the turn" isn't an enchantment, so the copies shouldn't have that property

@@cakeyeater7392It keeps all additional effects applied to it, including “discard at end of turn”. Really, I don’t see how “discard at end of turn” *isn’t* an enchantment. I’d suggest that it isn’t so much a bug as a quirk.

@@WiggyWamWam "discard at the end of the turn" isn't an enchantment because the affect doesn't stay when the minion is on the board, like all other enchantments. It's also not an effect that the card is explicitly applying. The card doesn't say "give those cards 'discard at the end of the turn'" it just says that *you* will discard them. It's a bug because the effect is not supposed to be applied to the card, it's just supposed to be an event that happens when you end your turn. If you can't see that, you're either blind, or you just don't want to look.

this is actually a super cool interaction that i think could be expanded on further with like hand buffs and more cost reductions, its a shame only one card can trigger it starting.

Since you are generating so many minions, maybe Sire as a kill card? Also, this seems like a good candidate for either going dragon package/K and/or Archivist for some staying power...maybe even Faelen?

it makes sense, since it generates a copy of the minion it retains the "discard at end of turn" effect

Priestess's copies keep all handbuffs, which is why this bug exists. She's keeping the "discard this at end of turn" effect. So... run Deathaxe Punisher.

Rod, Thauressan, etc. Would be sweet to have them infinite at 0 mana and super buffed.

Does it also keep buffs after discarding? If that's the case, then it's not a bug.

It does keep stats. however, the bug is the fact that the "discard at the end of the turn" property shouldn't be an enchantment, and therefore something that the card keeps after being discarded.

Wasent there a similar bug with that sunken city fire card?

This is a bug, she wasn't doing that when she was made, I played her a lot when I was new and got her from the pack, and I got this warlock spell golden from the pack, thats why I can remember that clearly. I opened a pack and there was 3 legendaries, golden warlock spell, golden druid spell and I don't remebmer third one. It was my first pack with more than one legendary lol. She wasn't discarding her more than once before. This spell effect was gone after 1 discard.

I wouldn't consider this a bug, Jeklik just makes exact copies cause she was printed in the set that tried to make handbuff warlock a thing.

Ima go ahead and say jjst what bugs me when mark went against his opponent, the way how they keep trying to target marks face with a rush minion, or if he has a taunt in the way, like bro we get it, face is the place, no need to be up in my face about it. Why people so toxic? 😂

i understand how it's a bug, but as it gives 2 copies of it, it's also logical for the copies to keep the buffs/effect on the card, because you copied it, in that state.

Not really a bug. Jeklik has always created exact copies of herself as she is in your hand, so handbuffs, discounts and other effects (Like "Discard at the end of turn" from things like Solarium, Immolate or Chaos Gazer) Meaning you could really build a deck around her with Thaurissan + Rod to get her to 0-1 mana and buff her with things like Stereo Totem, Soul Infusion, Don Han'cho, Scrap Imp etc. To full on go into this you could even use Questline so you won't fatigue, making your opponent have to somehow push though endless boards of Lifesteal Taunts...

​@@tarille1043 I might be wrong, but I clearly remember seeing this interaction before and it did not work like this, so it either got changed years ago when Jeklik basically disappeared from constructed and everyone just never found out (which is something I always find extremely unlikely given the sheer amount of games that happen each day, but at the same time we are talking about some of the most unpopular card combos that ever existed, idk) or it got changed recently and people found out reasonably early

@@rajkanishu Card hasn't changed. Mark even did a combo with it ages ago using Immolate (Giving Immolate to the opponent to have Jeklik infinitely recopy from being discarded) No-one really plays Jeklik so it doesn't come up that often even in Discolock decks.

@@tarille1043 those are two different cards and can work differently, you're totally underestimated the amount of spaghetti in HS "It's just no-one bothered to force Solarium into Jeklik before." No one tried one of the best (at the time) discard synergy with one of the best card draw that also discards ? Even tho they both got released at the same time in a expansion where warlock whole gameplan was based on discard mechanics ? Meaning that this combo was standard in a environnement with very few discard cards... ? You're just deciding you're right without even thinking about what you're writing, this interaction happened a lot Also, sorry to break it to you, but I'm one of those players that actually tried the discard package back then and it wasn't bugged: the card has changed

It isn't a bug since the original has the discard at the end of turn and the copies also have it for that reason🤓
