I couldn't agree more. It too (for me) was a blind buy. I was blown away, with the film AND the music. I used to work in a used record store and we always sold copies of this and I never knew why. Once I saw the film I knew why. I have been a Bill Duke "actor" fan for years and when I saw it was directed by him I wondered how good could it be. It was awesome and I too would recommend it's purchase. Unfortunately the 50% off sale is over but will return again in July and it should be picked it up.

I'm working on my 2021 Criterion review video I bought all the 2021 releases in US and UK so should be a good one. Loved Deep Cover. Bill Duke was in Predator of course as Sergeant Mac Eliot.

Great review Leon. Loved it man. I can’t wait to see this movie. I’m a massive fan of films like Boys N the Hood, and New Jack City, so I might have to pick up the criterion of this, and give it a go.👍

Got it recently but seen it plenty of time when it first came out, great movie and performances

This film has finally released in blu ray 4k in UK US Canada and in march 2022 on spain, now needs a blu ray restored version in Australia, cinema cult distribuitor needs to release now.
