There’s a reason why RIP and TastySteve sync so well as commentators. They actually listen to each other and take turns between each of their respective commentaries. Same goes with RIP and Markman. Of course there are hype moments when both talk at the same time

@goiflin5056 Жыл бұрын
You get commentators to stop talking over eachother by actually getting them to commentate with eachother specifically, a lot. From that point they'll know who is going to call plays like that, or who will analyze decisions or whatever. Plus they can then develop enough chemistry to actually be entertaining when they have to fill dead air time. also phidx da goat
@Jacev_
Жыл бұрын
Yeah they just need time to build that chemistry. And iambic is fairly new (compared to the others) when it comes to commentating big events like CEO etc. Whereas Tasty Steve, Markman, Rip, MYK - guys like that have not only commentated together numerous times but they've known each other for 15-20 years plus. While I'm not personally a fan of iambic - I'm sure if given a chance to develop and build that chemistry with the rest of them, she'll do just fine.
@jitters6604 Жыл бұрын
Generally, commentators dictate who’s doing color & play-by-play. If commentators are stepping on each other’s toes, it’s an indication of inexperience commentating with each other. But usually when something hype happens, both commentators will make an exclamation to let the audience know that something hype happens
@FGCTekken Жыл бұрын
0:51 - Neutral. Four dash blocks to get in. Arslan jabs and whiffs at range 1 (Not a panic jab) 0:58 - One dash D/F+1 no reaction 1:04 - Neutral. Arslan 4 dashes away. FF+1+2 does not counter hit. 1:07 - One dash into the low (Arslan takes turn back not worrying about extension) 1:11 - Sidestep Low. Arslan ducks anticipating the high and still goes for the hopkick even though there is no visual confirmation of the high whiffing. (Lets get our counter hits) 1:13 - Punish hopkick and dash block twice before Arslan challenges sooner when grounded and/or in minus 1:49 - Plus frames. Two dash blocks. Power crush/homing from Arslan. PHIDX punish. The dash blocking awareness is soo sick! Love the balls on PHIDX!

1:40 thats something i think just comes with feel and chemistry between commentators. Professional sports try to get a more energetic feel commentator with a more by the book play by play guy/girl. I also think 3 people on commentary is too much. It either leaves someone never talking or people constantly talking over each other.

1:29 _"How to figure out how to not speak over each other?"_ Have visual queues for each other for when you want to start speaking. So like one commentator speaks and the other instead of starting to talk immediately presses a button and his light turns on. The other person sees it, they stop talking when they're finished and the second they do it, they know that the other guy wants to start talking, and so the other guy talks. Now, this might sound like it wouldn't work, but look how professional chess player do it, it's exactly the system professional chess players use in the Blitz Chess: they can make 5 moves in 5 seconds sometimes.

The girl commentator doesn't bring much to the commentary. She sometimes repeats what the other commentator says, doesn't bring anything analytical to the commentary. She can throw out a few tech terms to make it sound like she's smart. But the main reason for talking over another commentator is to run with what the other person is saying so it looks like you are also bringing something to the table.
@jovialnobody
Жыл бұрын
I understand where that comes from on her part but I still agree with you. Overall, the male commentators looked like they're a lot more comfortable around each other, I think it has to do with people in general being more at ease with others of the same sex and also already having some chemistry, she didn't have that with either of the male commentators.

Generally, commentators dictate who’s doing color & play-by-play. If commentators are stepping on each other’s toes, it’s an indication of inexperience commentating with each other. But usually when something hype happens, both commentators will make an exclamation to let the audience know that something hype happens

@@ojsojs6004 lol top players always call someone top tier once they get bopped. Arslan said Alisa was top once cuddle core put the pressure on him 🤣 he wasn't talking about that character like that before
Arsalan earlier mentioned that he always struggles against noctis players
Arslan was finishing strings all night for some reason, happened later in the match the sent him out of the bracket too. Looking a little more nervous out there than usual
This just shows that just like with everything else in life, it doesn't matter if you're the best because there are times when you will lose.

Phidx was on fire. The pressure on the top players not to lose is insane
That pop off was sick.
The patients on phidx...just a solid set! So good!
That small duck in between the 2,2,2 at 7:18 is FKN INSANE Timing! 🔥
Such a good game against Arslan. I hope they'll see eachother again. It's just one game
holy shit i watched this guys breakdown videos of tekken 8. all that analysis work is so REAL. LETS GOO
Very convincing 2-0 and at the infinite stage no less, gotta love the humbling beat downs
1:40 Sajam has actually spoken about this. You basically just get a feel for it, and instantly shut up when someone else starts talking. Comes with experience I suppose
This tournament featured some nice revelations from the US. PHIDX stood out and I also loved the Xiao player Darty (?) can't remember her name.
Saw this live but i gladly watch it again
1:40 thats something i think just comes with feel and chemistry between commentators. Professional sports try to get a more energetic feel commentator with a more by the book play by play guy/girl. I also think 3 people on commentary is too much. It either leaves someone never talking or people constantly talking over each other.
That celebration at the end had me weak😂😂but good on him, he earned that dub.
One strategy he used was to be patient.. let kuni do her antics and backdash her cuz she will overwhelm you with trickery..
1:30 In League of Legends, I heard their commentators tap the table when they have something they want to say or point out. Signals like that will help a lot in giving everyone their voice, but League is a much slower game than fighting games, so I'm not sure if it'll really work for us
As a fan of Yoshi i hope he comes as DLC character to namco finally puts some love on him
Dope set. Was kof and sfg going on at the same time?
that final popoff; not ONE before. & the stage became too small for him ☺

Answer to your question in the beginning. In professional commentaries, there are 2 speakers. The Play by play commentator and the analyst. Both roles created for one to lead, and the other to break down situations etc
Love that pop off with the homies
I'm so happy for phi he's been grinding a lot
Now arslan ash out tournament after defeated ? Or he have chance?
This what happens when ppl understand that Arselan use chip character like kumi.. vs 2D character too..
He was more than just happy 😊
I remember saying Arslan was gonna take this on your stream and then went to sleep. Man I was wrong.
Realize in the end there, he forced arslan into grabbing once again after 2, 2 on block...lol. Good shit bro! GGS
He pop up like he won grand finals, he gave arslan a wake up call to train more.
you need to KNOW your commentator friend like KNOW the very first time i ever saw FOUR commentators at a time was at strong style & they all knew one another. they know their rythm
this is what happens when you win to many evo titles lol that massive bounty, that was sick
Legendary battle of the 2,2
Now they have watched Arslan game in slow motion thousand nd practised a lot which s easily looks in this game,,
I remember Arsalan regretting last year for taking part in 2 games KOF XV and Tekken but this year he decided to play 3 games. That was funny tho.
9:24 Here we see Phidx new stance move: D3+4 2,2. A mid-mid move that's very good against grounded opponents

Floorbreaks too lmao
1:29 _"How to figure out how to not speak over each other?"_ Have visual queues for each other for when you want to start speaking. So like one commentator speaks and the other instead of starting to talk immediately presses a button and his light turns on. The other person sees it, they stop talking when they're finished and the second they do it, they know that the other guy wants to start talking, and so the other guy talks. Now, this might sound like it wouldn't work, but look how professional chess player do it, it's exactly the system professional chess players use in the Blitz Chess: they can make 5 moves in 5 seconds sometimes.
end of an era
Dawg Noctis vs Kunimitsu should be some sort of anime LORE
😂 nice finally people are seeing why dash moves are an gamble

The hypocrisy of the commentators is at an extreme.
no Worries, Arslan snatched many titles in the last 4 years. now We Love to see Arslan Ash in ahead.
this was like the panthers upset the record setting regular season bruins team!
I fucking fell asleep again bro I’m tight
TThought I'd never see 👀 da day 😮
I understand nothing about Tekken but it is fun to watch
Bro is participating in 3 games. I think that's overkill, at max he should stick to two. Even among those he should dedicate 80 percent to one game an 20 percent to the other.
Daaaaamn Phi!!!! Let's gooooo!
I don’t think playing Noctis is a big deal, he has an enormous range to his attacks that can catch you anywhere at the map
Jheeze Phildx we see you
PDx like a hunger fighter love PDx keep it up....
LETS FUCKING GO PHI
1:30 I know some csgo commenters tap each other under the table or something similar to stop them from talking over each other

I think the infinite stage benefitted Phidx alot more than it did arslan in this set.
Hahaha why these commentators and audience feel that happiness when Ash wins 😂😂!

If he had won those without cleanly beating the current best player it would feel like a hollow victory, beating Arslan in this way is honeslty probably more satisfying just knowing you completely outplayed him mentally.

@jovialnobody
Жыл бұрын
I understand where that comes from on her part but I still agree with you. Overall, the male commentators looked like they're a lot more comfortable around each other, I think it has to do with people in general being more at ease with others of the same sex and also already having some chemistry, she didn't have that with either of the male commentators.

There have to be different commentators in order to stop them from interrupting each other. One has to be hype commentator who screams when something happens and the other one needs to be the guy with knowledge.
People just gotta learn how Ash plays and he’s easy peasy. He will appear like everyone else who’s good or really good at Tekken 7. Part of the people that you win some and lose some.
