I see by reading through the previous comments that you now understand the evils of ebay fittings. I get all of mine from Summit Racing, and you can save money by using push-lok hose/hose ends. I'm about to install a new cooler on my Fairlane, and I'm going to use hard tubing to the extent possible. It's a little more work/money than going entirely with rubber hose, but it makes me feel better, and that's what counts. :) To solve the "unsightly cooler lines" that would normally be seen, I'm mounting the cooler (with a fan) under the car at the back seat area. One more comment - a stacked plate cooler is much more efficient than a tube-and-fin, and can therefore be smaller.

Yes, ended up buy swaged fitting braided lines. I am planning to upgrade to a under the car mounted fan driven trans cooler this time! I'll look into what you've mentioned.

Nice set up, I also used that heat shield wrap with Velcro, it started burning when header got hot (regular temps). Took it off & went with DEI heat sleeves, fit perfect on them 6an hose. Also that braided hoses didn't really take the heat very well.

that heat sleeve is actually dei stuff. it's pretty far off the collector but I'll keep my eye on it. I've been checking it after a long run. so far not too bad gets warm but not too bad.

Gerald Gutierrez they are solid mounts i got from speedway motors. I tried to use prothane mounts that are just an insert for stock motor mounts but i couldnt get them to work so i went with solid.

I have a th400 and the fittings are 6 AN. I got them from summit, I just googled th400 AN fittings and found them on summit. They're a straight thread style fitting with a gasket/seal instead of pipe thread so it doesn't crack the case. I am also running pre made high pressure line from precision adapters I believe not this ebay line. The ebay line failed and blew off. I have another video about that.

How hard would it have been to run the lines through and out the frame?
@dhosack85

87national i thought about that but the spring pockets are in the way to get through the front of the frame. You may have been able to figure a way around it but i ran out of patience and ideas so i ran it this way.

Jaime Huerta ebay. search AN SEPARATORS. Tip from me if you're using standard an hose then get the size you're hose is. if you're using PTFE line like I am then you need to get the size smaller. I have 8an PTFE line so I got 6an separators the outside diameter is the same.

I've seen quite a few ebay/amazon -an fittings leak and also some break at the swivel, and I've seen their cheap braided -an hoses develop leaks through the braid... I could never recommend the hoses or fittings to not be of a trusted brand.. Earl's, Aeroquip, Russel, Jegs, etc.... If you are on a budget the Jegs brand fittings save a few dollars off the other brands.
