The F104G was so well known for killing its pilots in the german air force that it got the nickname "Witwenmacher" or to english widowmaker

That’s a great build. You could include period-accurate rockets in Flyout? I haven’t actually used it yet. 😅 The gunsight looks great, he should have tried to use it in anger. Flyout seems like it could use some standard sight options!

@@BrianTRice77 If you use mouse aim in the cockpit and press P to hide the UI it works a treat as a sight

Also, the right engine pulsing indeed was intentional, just bumped compressor tip speed to mach 1.2 and the popping party starts, and for brakes you can always shoot da gunz, lots of recoil and much cooler option than brakes 😅

fly out idea: create a stationary plane like the ones so many of us made as kids with a pen and a ruler. it could shoot missiles out of were the pen tip would be and it could be a challenge to get to fly properly Please like so patchbits can at least consider the idea

Hi patch, solution to the missile issue, the "launch" keybind in the settings>controls menu is what controls missile firing. I believe it's F by default but it could have gotten changed by accident sometime when you were fiddling with the controls. (edited for grammar)

That Ork jet is 😘 If I were skilled enough, I'd try to make a little faction of Ork tanks for Sprocket. Maybe I will try one day after the big update. I'd love to see someone really skilled do that though

Thought process 1. Water is like air but more... 2. Fish "Fly" in water 3. What else "fly" in water? 4. ÜBOATS... NO scratch that ÜBERBOAT For legal reasons i would say i might or might not make it in my work hours and we all know that on slower day we all have same level of insanity in ourselfs.

For the F-104G, I wonder if the way the inlet blends into the wing, vs the fuselage on the real plane, affects supersonic vs transonic drag that is limiting its top speed, much like the F-102 required area ruling to get past M1.2!

Believe it or not, the plane does hit mach 2 speeds at 11000m. It only does that after flying for a long time, 10 minutes in fact, and it does that without any pylons attached. I know because I am the one who made the replica.

It definitely looks the business! Nice! Honestly that’s probably accurate, anyway. Does calibrating the model to public flight data wind up taking a while, or does sculpting and power plant tuning wind up being easy to dial in?

the accel seemed low on takeoff too, perhaps the engine is a bit weak

@@BrianTRice77 Realistically it wasn't really that hard, all you have to do is to follow the specifications, make sure the engine produces the same maximum thrust on both military power and maximum thrust. Make sure the weight and wing area are both the same as the real life variant. Lastly, the aerodynamics usually work themselves out, if not add or remove drab by placing or removing parts with drag.

yea you gotta press TAB to switch between nothing, IR-Missiles, Mavericks and Rocket-pods. after you did that you can press F to fire the chosen ordinance

Hi PatchBits (or community), I have a problem with ALL of my planes, they bank to the side the propand engine is spinning. I already tried with wing dehedral, putting 2 propellers, 1 in CCW and 1 in CW, Even with 2 engines it banks WHAT DO I DO Oh, one more thing, they banned me from the Flyout Dev server in Discord
