This video proves more than anything I've seen in ages that a single zoom lens and fixed camera angles, even without any camera movement, along with clever editing and sound design, is all you need to craft a compelling story telling experience. Love it Danny. Love everything you do!

Gimbals and sliders and jibs have been so overused in the last half decade, that a really well framed locked off shot looks unique now. I'll take a single strong composition over camera movement any day.

Which zoom lens? I'm about to buy a good-quality zoom lens to simplify my life as a vlogger. Haha! As I'm currently filming with a Sony (a7iv), so I was thinking about the GM 16-35 2.8. It seems to be widely recommended, but it's a budget...

Not just one lens, clearly a wider shot than 24 on the supermarket

Still shots carry a lot of emotions fr
when you can craft a story this engaging from the mundane, you can make masterpieces from a fleshed-out concept. Can't wait for "I Think I'm Sick"

I love your evolution as a storyteller. You can tell that ITIS has made you an even more visceral storyteller. As weird as it may sound, urinating, defecting, and dry hump scenes show how much more honest that film experience made you. Love everything you do, man. Never stop.

What is ITIS?
Your cinematography has been getting so much better over time and you’re such an inspiration! Thank you
such a simple heartfelt story, yet such amazing cinematic moments that make you feel like you’re actually living in that moment. It’s these kind of days that always feel the best.
I loved how you used static shots for every scene and still managed to tell an amazing story!
Gorgeous! I would love to see vlogs of this style, it's so beautifully mundane and cinematic all at once. Very slice of life. Looking forward to your behind the scenes!
I wish this was an ordinary day for me. The slow life. In nature, with someone you love. This is my ideal life and you captured it so well. Love the video. Congrats on being featured on a KZread curated playlist
This is magnificent. The ability to create such beauty & story from what is so simple, so relatable, those everyday moments as life passes us by that we waste because we don’t slow down and pay attention enough, we either dread or take them for granted. But you created something so beautiful out of them. Love this!
Big fan of yours @DannyGevirtz - and I think this is some of your strongest work. It's intimate, quiet, silly and pretty nuanced. Keep it coming.
The lighting the fact that the camera was stationery made me feel connected, like I was a part of your world, not just a viewer, the framing and composition was chef's kiss. The music is so relaxing 😌. Imma have to try this concept for myself hope you don't mind
Love to see your short KZread videos coming back. These never cease to inspire me to go out and shoot. The lighting the color and the shot compositions are all spot on. Not mention the sound design, you still have my favorite punchy keyboard typing sound fx. I really like watching these and reminding myself that I have the exact same camera and lens setup so it takes away any gear excuse I conjure up in my mind to procrastinate shooting.

0:21 to 0:24 - Just wow. Beautiful shot, beautiful moment! Love the color grade. Amazing!
It's crazy how you produce so many emotions over the same music track. The hump scene made it so real. Congrats this is very cool.
This video shows the importance of Sound Effects and Design and how we as filmmakers can tell a story without saying a single word (or few) 😁

The textures are so good, my dude, love the use of close-up shots...makes me feel like I'm in your head in all these mundane actions. Can you share the source of the grain/texture you're adding? Looks super natural and pairs really well with the color. Can't wait to see "I think I'm sick", you're a freakin inspiration to so many people Danny, thank you for all your hard-work!

Great Visual storytelling 🎉 to me You were the first amongst the others who shared the important value of minimalism in cinematography content KZread channel. I remember the video of you about to somewhere and doin whole video in empty room just with some cheap mic making the point that on the end of the day the engaging storytelling is the golden goal.
