I was 14 1/2 years old when i took my first trip to ILOILO, my, mom works for SEAFDEC that was in 1978 -1979 . I dont know if it still exist. move back to California in 1980. I have good memories in ILOILO, the food, the beaches and the province area. enjoy your stay..

I dont know what it is about Iloilo but it keeps calling me.. im over in Occidentle Bago, but i stand on the shore and try to stare over at iloilo but the other Islands and distance blocks my view.. 😢..😅

Please try the LA PAZ BATCHOY at POPOY'S LA PAZ BATCHOY at Robinson's Place-Iloilo main mall at De Leon Street. POPOY'S LA PAZ BATCHOY won the Best La Paz Batchoy competition sponsored by SM City Iloilo during the Iloilo Dinagyabg Festival in 2020. DECO'S , TED'S, INGGO'S, ALICIA'S are also delicious. NETONG'S has to improve it's dish because it has deteriorated in taste and flavors.

For ne the best La Paz Bstchoy is at POPOY'S LA PAZ BATCHOY either at Robinson's Place- Iloilo main mall or at the Central market temporary stall. It won the Best La Paz Batchoy award during the 2020 Competition sponsored by SM City -Mandurriao. Also delicious is TED'S LA PAZ BATCHOY or DECO'S LA PAZ BATCHOY. Netong's La Paz Batchoy is overrated, had deteriorated donewhat in taste. I wonder why rhey still patronize it. It used to de good but gas deteriorated in taste.

I made the same mistake in some of my videos. lol

All the 6 public markets in ILOILO CITY are being demolished right now and being replaced with new modern buildings for the convenience of residents and visitors. Hopefully, by next year 1924 or 1925, all these will be completed for the benefit of everyone.

@@kingdomplantae5240 there's actually a confusion and I rely only on internet posts. Some posts from the usual official sites say it's in late 2024, some sites say it's in 2025. Whatever, it could possibly be in early 2026, but certainly, all of us Ilonggos and new residents, as well as the increasing number of western expats, including the western vloggers, who consider ILOILO their new home because of its clean , orderly, beautiful, and Western-style European ambiance and convenience, expect these public markets to be available as soon, eager as everybody is to experience a whole new environment different, and as many vloggers say, "Unique," among all the other boring third-world ambiance cities of the Philippines. Congratulations to us ILOILO residents, we are fortunate that western expatriates consider our city "the most livable city" in the Philippines . Thank you for the notice, my dear.
