The song structure is so genius. The lyrics are basically about someone gaslighting themself into believing this toxic and not reciprocated love is enough and everything they want. But a one-sided relationship will never bring satisfaction. That's why the song is all about building up tension, but never releasing it or coming to a conclusion. The song is supposed to make you pause and wonder why it feels so off-putting but addictive at the same time. That why i love Monsta x so much after so many years of career they are still able to release quality music on a regular basis. no they never really had a big hiatus and they are still the major group of STARSHIP with now their little sister IVE. their rap line is still as monstrous . Toxic love? Monsta X love to live dangerously...!! The mv is really a great way to "show" the lyrics of the song. Broken glass, the chains, black and red... I love the contrast between their vocals part and the rapline... KIZZ FROM BRAZIL.💋

The album (including this) is about how toxic the “fans” are but the members love them anyway and can’t live without them. I love that they talking about toxic people in such a classy way.

I totally agree with every thing you said throughout but at 17:50 onwards, I found myself nodding nonstop and mumbling "exactly" like a weirdo. MONSTA X's evolution in their discography and artistry is such a joy to watch. I believe that they really only see their own selves as competition. They grow and improve every comeback which is quite a feat. They make me so proud to be MONBEBE.

I really noticed their lips on this // Minhyuk purses his lips in a wild way throughout this // Hyungwon always has the gorgeous lips // Joohoney with the lips rap scene // Kihyun just always looking great // This song is so fun to watch // I loved your description of the clothes and chains . My first comeback with Monsta X and Hyungwon's high notes, Minhyuk's visuals ( they all are visuals tho) and Joohoney's rap part already killed me, I love this song it's so powerfull and don't get me started on the MV...

Jealousy has finally been unseated as my fave Monsta X title track. I tend to be indifferent to rap in K-Pop but IM & Joohoney really came through. 🥰 I really need to watch some stages soon because I think that this performance needs a stage to go off even more,
