Pandit Kumar Gandharvaji had said the same thing. In his view, it is actually more difficult to get the perfect Sur, expression, feel, ras, bol and all the layakari in that short a time. Of course, he was also being modest as he has some fantastic lighter songs to his credit, which are pure classics (Runanubandhachya, malaygiricha, etc.)

I don't have any words after watching this....but the one thing I say that .....these three ladies are my favourite after Lata ji ...not for only there music but also there nature the way they are talking politly..... I am the student of class 10 and I believe that " Lata ji jesa na koi tha na koi hai or aage na koi hoga "❤️

This programme seen before and today , when DiDi is in heaven , with quite a bit of Legends , The tone of our emotions is vastly changed. We were immensely rich two years back because Didi was amongst us , today we are left with her sangit , bowing down in her memory .

I think nobody can comment something about Lataji singing n understanding of music because of her legacy she left behind. The only thing one can do is just try to learn from her. But, I want say something about the way they(Radhika Chopra ji, Kaushiki Chakraborty ji n Sunanda Sharma ji)gone through this entire conversation mesmerized me. This is the way civilized people often converse about things. And if you listen to them they'll put you in whole another world. Tribute to #LATAJI...🙏🙏😃😃

What a wonderful session of music performed by three outstanding artists. Radhika ji is so right. Lataji is truly Devi Saraswati who is no longer with us anymore. We will miss her immortal voice. Kaushiki ji such as an awesome talent. We are so fortunate have her in the industry. I haven't seen a woman who is such an outstanding singer, humble, so well spoken and, so pretty at the same time.

That's why I said North Indian. There are better singers in South. The government failed to recognize them

'Lata ji' bus naam hi kafi hai...May her soul rest in peace...For me she is still with us in the form of her immortal songs..

This conclave shows how talent and beauty enliven the stage. 🙂 Also to be noted is that the music profession is so humble and the ladies never tire of giving the dues to Lata Ji for everything they know about music. Lata Ji was and will remain a true nightingale of India for years to come.

I am just overwhelmed just to hear Respected Radhika ji, the way she explained most respected Bharat Ratna Lata ji.

I had the honor of direct contact with this legendary singer of India during her concert in the famous Shrine auditorium Los Angeles in 1996.

I think there are so many self styled enlightened people in India and around the world. Lata-ji never claimed as if she's achieved anything but she says what she does is because of her parents' blessings. To me Lata-ji is the real enlightened one, if worshipped by visualizing her in totality, I think anyone would get blessings from her. How could someone give lights if one does not have? Lata-ji knew she was throwing the light to the planet. I bow down to her and many of you who are truly following her. 🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏🙏

I want say from great artists like Sunandaji Radhikaji and of course kaushikiji..are so down to earth firstly and because of being such great artists they know Ma Saraswatis music which is from the heaven,but nowadays there are singers who goes on singing Lata Mangeshkars songs without hesitation and it's realy not tolerable vulgurly dressed from the present generation.People are there who comments such as another night angel which puts us in dilemma to how dare these people do its degrading disgusting just intolerable.Anyways this programme was realy so beautiful.

Excellent! All 3 singers are so good! I grew up in the same neighborhood of where Lataji rahati thi in Sangli and I was crazy after her songs. That time All India Radio had Marathi songs only 1 hour per day at 9:00am. I used to sit, learn and used to go sing it to some friends immediately. I have learned more from famous singers including Gaansaraswati Kishori Amonkar. Appreciate all the three singers for showing me the beauty of Lataji's singing. To me, in addition to what she sings, it is also importantant to understand how she avoids "Unnecessary embelishments" and achives the emotional effect.

I haven't ever heard a program so directed and centred in it's purpose. True, that it is really impossible to describe a divine soul as Lata in a limited time but if it should definitely be started as this. 🙏

An unforgettable experience listening to the three great musicians reminiscing and offering their tributes to the nightingle of India Latajee. All the three ladies have amply shown why the Indian music is held so high !

Even though Lataji has sung mostly film songs she has always said she wanted to become a classical singer. It was her one of the unfulfilled wishes. If her father didn't die so early she would've become one. Mangeshkar family has strong classical base.

her voice was meant to carry emotions to all though. and that can only be done through commercial music. she was not meant to be in a genre of music that only a select few learned people can appreciate. And I don't think a song like "lag ja gale" is any less than a 1 hour complicated raag :). In fact, it might even be more difficult, because no one can replicate it.

Why does kaushiki look so beautiful.....just like a doll.....♥️

I really admired and got inspired by kaushiki ,the way she just sang sundarate dhyan and the music followed ,she never asked for the scale she wanted to sing in and then looked at the musician and smiled ,it is really the little little things that matter ,the respect and dignity they treat each other with,is really lots to learn from and this really touched me ,thankyou

It’s amazing amezing session, these three ladies are unbelievable singer....Lata Mageshkor was not a singer,was self the music,,,,I will be very blessed if this organisation make a session with Asha Bhosle.. She is also the one legend Mageshkor woman who has thousands of memories what we can get a change to hear from her....Often she had share her memories in Indian Idol or in Saregamapa show.....thanks to India Music Summit for making this session......

Fully and completely agreed. Ashaji is as good and equivalent to Lataji (though Lataji does have a slight edge). The second Saraswati Maa of the music world is still with us all.

Kaushiki is loved by Maharashtrians a lot for her beautifully sung Abhangs !!! Kanada Raja Pandharicha is one of her best Abhangs with Mahesh Kale !!!!

I'm no one to comment here, but the thing I realised that lataji is very much doubtless,clear about where to take her voice, very much straight forward, clarity of vission, no inhibition. She can portray the story of a song very nicely. Above all her sense of taking the microphone is something which makes her who she is, which others lack or they simply don't try that much , no doubt being great singers.

Point to note is that two of the most famous Lata songs mentioned , and a favourite of so many...Tu Chanda Mai Chandni and Tumhe Dekthi Hun ( or Allah Tero Naam ), are compositions of the great Jaydev Ji . Madan Mohan saab and Jaydev ji I feel are the two composers who brought even more lustre and sheen to the diamond that is Lata ji .
