An introduction to syntropic agroforestry by roland van reenen (part 1)
Confronted by severe circumstances for agriculture in the semi arid climate zone of Curacao, a small island in the Caribbean Sea, Roland van Reenen found the solution for those challenges in Syntropic Agroforestry. He received his training in 3 intensive courses facilitated by the great teachers Thiago Gimenez Barbosa and Murilo de lima. Currently he is in East Africa where he trained about 500 people in the fine art of syntropic agroforestry

Many thanks Roland. This is an insightful presentation. Let's continue to regenerate Africa using Nature's operating system and technologies. The solution is under our feet.

Thanks a lot. Blessings too
Hey Roland, thanks for the great video! One question (I'm trying to create a small syntropic food garden in my backyard), do you know any resource where we can find the properties of the plants (life cycle, ideal climate, etc) in a convenient manner? How do you decide what to grow? I see all these examples but most are in climates that are very different from the climate here... Groetjes uit Nederland!

Hi thanks a lot! To be honest about the situation in the Netherlands I don't know much, but I see it as a challenge to get to know it. I might do a syntropic workshop in September in the Netherlands so that means a lot of observation and also looking what our European neighbors are doing. So the answer might be observe nature, which plant needs full sunlight, which loves shade and then also compare the time of harvesting
