Ойын-сауық

Multiple award-winner and Magic Castle Hall of Fame inductee Richard Turner is a world-renowned Card Mechanic whose skills cannot be replicated, according to experts and scientists from esteemed centers of learning that include Harvard and the University of Moscow. Turner’s skills leave audiences astonished beyond comprehension! His peers acknowledge that he is a master of his craft and that Richard manipulates a deck of cards like no other human being on the planet. He developed his unique abilities and trademark techniques by practicing 14 hours a
day, seven days a week, for many decades. Richard’s outward skills with playing cards, his humor, poise, confidence, and eloquence are incomparable. He is a global celebrity who is a recognized Fortune 500 keynote speaker-entertainer with clients such as Apple, Facebook, AT&T, IBM, ARCO Chemical, VIV Labs, U. S. Air force, USAA, Southwest
Airlines, Harley Davidson, and scores of others. In addition to these companies, Richard
has entertained millions of people including notables like Johnny Carson, Bob Hope, LeeGreenwood, Colin Powell (US Secretary of State), and Muhammad Ali. Turner also has a Black Belt Master Ranking Sixth Degree in Wado Kai-style Karate, a feat that he achieved in 2012. His amazing 1984 1 st degree black belt test was so grueling that it was televised and featured on the front page of the Los Angeles Times Sports Section.

Jason Ladanye is probably the best in the world and is very very good, but he has his sight. However, Richard Turner is on another level due to his visual impairment. To know the weight of every card just from feel, is an absolutely phenomenal feat that just blows the mind. He can do everything I've seen Ladanye do and more. A true magician of card play.

Jason can't do what Richard does. Not at the speed Richard does it at and still be deceptive. There are also probably things Jason does that Richard doesn't do. All time, though, the consensus is usually that Steve Forte is the best. Richard is 70yrs old and still performing at a high level and admits there are things he used to do that he no longer has the feel for. I'm gonna appreciate whatever he decides to bless us w going forward.

I am kicking myself for never coming across Richard Turner having viewed countless TV magic shows and performers. Even in the early 1980's and my age was in single figures and we were luck to be able to watch 4 channels on TV in the UK, I would scour the TV listings for magicians other than Paul Daniels and the lovely Debbie McGee. Channel 4 would often show David Copperfield and Penn and Teller always very late/early and more than likely mid-week. Fortunately my Mum would make sure the VCR was set up properly as the Copperfield and Penn and Teller shows were screened infrequently and randomly. Even with todays numerous streaming services, I didn't find this guy until today the 9th of September 2023. So it looks like my Saturday evening will be spent looking for more performances from this astounding guy! And if anyone has any recommendations I'd be grateful for suggestions? Thank You All....

I was so skeptical of his message at first because it seemed he was hawking another version of "to be successful you've got to be tough as nails and power through everything" but towards the end his message really rounded out and made sense. -Receive help when you need it -Work with what you've got, and give what you have -It has to mean something to you, not just for its own sake And above all, never play cards. You'll get swindled.

@@6ix6ear This is a magic show but I'll elaborate. Mr Turner is one of the most revered men in our world and to have the privilege of seeing him perform his full one-man show for one of the final times in his life is truly a privilege. In his prime, he was quite literally the best handler of cards ever hands down. To be lauded by Vernon as the most skilful ever says all you need to know. Yes, everything he does is from skill but that's what's amazing. Magicians now try to avoid difficult sleights as much as possible but Mr. Turner is a shining light for us displaying what miracles can be achieved if we put in the work.

Richard, I’ve followed you for many years and really appreciate the work you’ve done in providing training videos for the rest of us, card, magicians, who want to become better at the art. I have purchased your decks and I have purchased your videos on how to manipulate cards, and specifically how to do bottom deals. I think that your technique of doing a bottom deal is the best. I also think that your technique of pulling two cards down is the best technique for the second deal as it’s virtually undetectable. It’s taking me years to get to feel of two cards under my thumb and now I have around an 80% chance of getting it right every time. Again, thanks for all of what you’ve given the world and how impressive you’ve been with something that you would not call a handicap.
