I love how any person who has some amount of fame mentions that they're mexican but were born in america it's all a strategy to get mindless mexican fans attention. My parents were BORN in mexico but I was born in USA you don't see me calling myself mexican.

Whenever (well most of the time) people make things racial it's because they have insecurity & want to prove that they (their race & etc.) as good as others. In my many trips to Mexico, I've encounter almost no insecurity about race. But when they come here they often (rightly or wrongly) feel the need to prove something. This is somewhat understandable, for most of the recent immigrants, start out as the rung of the ladder, (so to speak), but after a generation or two this should pass.....
