    @@mordecai8707 409 works as well, but the reason I prefer Tuff stuff is because it’s a foam and it doesn’t soak the fabric as much, it dries faster.

    Brian, you have a talent that eludes far too many You Tube auto detailers: the ability to convey useful information efficiently. Why is it that the Dallas Paint Correction guy and Luke Wilson of Wilson Detailing consistently cram two minutes' worth of info into 15 minutes of video? And they pale in comparison to the Auto Fetish Detail clown who goes on and ON AND ON, to the point that the viewer is tempted to drink a gallon of Purple Magic and put himself out of his misery. Commenters time and again tell them to stop the nonstop talking, and they can't do it. Your vids are simple, direct and effective. You don't waste my time. Two thumbs up.

    Thank you Thardryryll!! I actually enjoy all of those channels. Luke is a great kid with endless enthusiasm for the industry. He really has a great sense of responsibility and business at his young age. The other two always have valuable nuggets of info tucked away in all that narrative of theirs. I literally dont have the time to talk that much as I try to squeeze in a vid at the end of the day. I have respect for them both tho. Darren has so much going on, he has slowly fazed YT videos to the bottom of his to do list. I watch them while doing paperwork at the end of the day... when they start to ramble.. I just tune out until useful info starts to flow one again!! CHEERS!!

    Have you used LA’s totally awesome before? I’m not sure I recommend it as an apc to agitate as it is QUITE strong, but if you have a stain you spray it and it just disappears 🤔 like I quite literally don’t even have to scrub... I extract of course, but it does great. I think I’ll definitely be using this foam in combination with extraction.

    I am amazed that a foaming aerosol performed so well. I think its success was mostly due to the experience and tenacity of the demonstrator. Very nice Mr Brian! I use a 5:1:1 mixture of D.I. water to virtually pure peroxide which is 100% of 30% and Superclean. But this is one of those solutions that I have to make a best judgement call. It will very slightly lighten what it comes in contact with and it is corrosive, so you must extract it. You wont want to sit in it while damp. Ill be giving the 409 a shot. I am very impressed!

    Instead of blowing the solution off with compressed air, could you get similar results using a wet dry vac or does the psi on the air perform better?

  • @jdisdetermined

    @jdisdetermined

    4 жыл бұрын

    Yep, that will work too, you can even blot dry with a towel if that's all you have. Compressed air is nice because it is no touch, thorough and efficient. Extractors introduce so much liquid, they can sometimes cause more problems than they solve, especially fabric with foam underneath. Many of us have moved away from them altogether. You can use a peroxide solution afterwards if you're concerned about residue. 👍👌✌

    They are all pretty much the same Richard. I am sure there is a version of this over there, somewhere. To me, the air nozzle is a must. Dirt lifted from the product is not completely removed from just wiping with microfiber. And some vacs are not powerful enough.

    I have two 11’ by 9’ throw rugs over expensive wood floors. This 409 cleaner looks to be my safest bet on keeping the wood flooring below dry. It may be tedious, but I’m not about to rent a mechanical cleaner and ruin my wood flooring. Can you perhaps recommend a tool I could use to scrub a larger area as opposed to the little hand scrubber/brush you’re using? Almost like a scrubber attached to a broom handle?

Now it smells of that old wet stinky towel smell I thinks that's mildew? Can you recommend a process or product to clean that out that I can do myself. They won't do it again to fix it because they think it's my fault. Thanks, Shawn.

    I used a similar product to this, agitated with a damp microfiber and let it dry, it took much more time than on the label (2h), I even used a dehumidifier for like 5 hours and vacuumed the next day and now the fabric is strained or loose don't know the right term, when passing my hand it creases like when it's not properly stretched and the excess folds in front of your hand. When sitting it's also leaving creases and if left a cup of a drink laying on the seat for a few minutes it leaves a mark too. I have to rub my hand on the fabric so it disappears. Did I damage permanently the fabric with this shit product ? Is there a solution to bring it back to normal ?

    Apex Detail get a can of Regular barbosol (sp?). I've used it for stains for years. It's very effective believe it or not. Think about what it does when it dries on the sink.....crystallized to almost a powder. The way it dries means it releases easy when you vacuum. Not sticky. Give it a try. The only other recommendation is Resolve Gold...that took Red Wine out of my beige interior and you would never know it was there.....don't ask how it got there. ;)

    Just foam it onto a microfiber rag or application pad and dab the stain or dirt on the headliner. Then use a damp, clean one to finish up.
