This was more of a reminder to people of their mission statement and why they do what they do in the first place. Most people didn't even know about that interview and did not care. Everything said was already in dirtsheets months ago anyway. Was this speech needed? Probably not, but people seem to want to act like they don't understand that they can like any promotion they want without shitting on other ones. Adam Copeland may be a great wrestler. However whether he has a title or no title, he would benefit AEW far more if he puts over younger talent that can become megastars which at the moment other than Swerve and MJF objectively speaking they have fumbled the ball for the past two to three years.

He's not entirely wrong. Aew is good for the industry. There needs to be a place where more talent can show the world what they can do. Where they can earn more fans and more money, and to have a variety. Atm it's cool to hate on aew but how many REALLY want it to die? How many REALLY want all these people to lose their jobs? How many REALLY just want only 1 place to watch wrestling? I see both positive and negative comments here, how many REALLY mean them? Like what you like but I've seen what happens when 1 company dominates the industry and there's nothing to make them get better. I don't wanna see that again.
