I enthusiastically concur!! Well Said!
first time I visited citywalk I felt overwhelmed, specially since it's a hub to the parks and couldn't really explore it since the priority were the parks, so this is a great video for newbies to understand it and to even consider taking a day to just have fun and explore it like you usually do with Disney springs. awesome video!

Although one can feel overwhelmed, it's just smart marketing to make the guests walk through this place to access the theme parks. When I left, tidal waves of locals poured into City Walk after 6 pm. It was insane. Best to set aside an hour in the daytime to explore it. PS: beware that many of these same locals could be passholders so they also flooded into Diagon Alley. I was so shocked that I left. And this was in January! I guess the locals know that the freezing weather scared off many tourists by the end of the day so there was an opportunity to use that season pass and see DA.
2 money saving suggestions. 1. Appetizers are a great option, particularly at Margarita Ville and NBC grill. 2. Adults are allowed to order of the kids menu anywhere. *If going to toothsomes, the brunch menu is great. Reasonable prices and a lot of food.

Your videos are excellent. Extremely informative without wasteful chatter. I thoroughly enjoy the pace at which you move through the content and your use of maps. 😁
At night, 12:35 CityWalk really brings out its best. All in the lights, music - the real atmosphere of a night vibe.

My wife and I were recently there using the shuttle service from our hotel and spent A LOT of our time at City Walk. It really is a great place for dining and activity options. The mini golf was great and we enjoyed Big Fire.

I actually have never actually tried a milkshake at Toothsomes…I genuinely enjoy their food, which is both quite affordable and very well done, like a superior version of Cheesecake Factory (and, if they EVER open, we’re supposed to be getting a West Coast version at Universal CityWalk Hollywood, too!)…Marvelous, very thorough job as usual, my good sir!

Hi there Frugal Brit, just wanted to thank you for creating these videos. The quality is excellent and the reviews are extremely fair. We’ve been planning our trip for some time and have watched and rewatched these many times. Keep up the good work. I did wonder if you had any thoughts on Busch garden in Tampa, which is one of our favourites, but I appreciate it’s a drive. Many thanks, D

Oh, my friend, I beg to differ with you about your subdued opinion of VooDoo donuts! Their donuts are Exceptional and I would honestly rank their level of mastery and creativity in the yeasty arts as EQUAL to that of the Wizards at Gideons over the Cookie Arts! I live an excruciating two plus driving slog through the hell that is Los Angeles area traffic away from the nearest VooDoo donuts to my home in San Diego and yet it helps make that drive almost bearable the once or twice a year I manage it (Oh yeah, and there’s SOME kind of…Theme park or something next door that’s pretty cool I guess…)😊😊

Yeah you do unless you arrive after 6pm. Not sure if this changes at the weekend tbh.
Personally I think Disney Springs beats City Walk in almost every category. The only place I’ve personally loved in City Walk is Toothsome’s but the rest is too loud and poorly themed in my opinion. I like the subtle yet clever theming of Disney Springs which feels more cozy.
@TheFrugalBrit

@@TheFrugalBrit I like the size, it's just right and is walkable. Disney Springs is overwhelming and feels like a chore to navigate through.
I love CityWalk. I've eaten at most places. The hot dogs at Hot Dog Hall of Fame are Nathan's Originals. The best value is the one foot dog that comes with any two toppings. There is a "mustard bar" with plenty of free and unique flavors of mustards! ---- Vivo is overrated. It's no better than a Macaroni Grill ---- I agree with most of the other reviews! The Frugal Brit videos are all great!! Thanks for your work!!

I HAD to stop by and grab one. The hot dogs are worth the trip. I say that Cowfish is worth a visit. It's just that the menu may be a bit too unusual for some people...

I'm glad they're paying homage to JW. Unfortunately, Jurassic Park has split guests down the middle. Half are purists who get upset if they see influences from Jurassic World. The other half (including me!) enjoyed JW and don't mind seeing it being included in the parks. I say that Universal has the right to put the sequel into their theme parks, after all they own the franchise and JW was one of the biggest movies of the summer when it hit theaters. Every time I went, tickets were sold out.
The Frugal Queer does it again! Great video. City Walk is often overlooked, I love Marley's Tribute to Freedom.

Margaritaville is definitely NOT Caribbean food. It’s American and fried everything food.

No not all of them. The likes of toothsome, mythos, Cowfish and vivo will though. Depends what time you arrive.

What Citywalk really is is Universal's attempt to separate you from even more of your money on your way into and out of the parks. But having said that, it's still pretty cool.
@largol33t1
Жыл бұрын
How is that any worse than Disney using Disney Springs to separate you from your money? I tried several of the dining options because they were cheaper than eating in the hotel and they were pretty good.
@ericteneyck8691
Жыл бұрын
@@largol33t1 I wasn't saying it was worse, in fact, I didn't mention Disney at all. I also said Citywalk was pretty cool. But it is what it is, Universal makes guests, or most of them anyway, walk through Citywalk to get to the parks.
Really wish there was a fine dining option, american food is so unsophisticated, more ‘look how much we can pile on a plate’ or deep fry than flavour.
