I commend your courage and honesty in sharing your journey in UX Design. Took me a whole year to finish the CF course and then another 6 months to find my first job. But I’ll tell you this, it was soooo worth it. I’m now in my second official UX Design role and I couldn’t be happier. Best wishes to you and your future career. Keep up the hustle.

Jonathan, thank you for your comment, it means a lot to me. One year to complete the program honestly sounds like the right amount of time, I think spending the time needed to learn is very important, instead of rushing through it. And 6 months to find your first job, WOW- sounds great! 👏🏽 thanks for the best wishes!

I felt that when you said society sets timelines for us. I feel a lot of pressure to find what I want to do for my career ASAP. But it’s never too late to pivot!

Hey Cynthia! I wanted to let you know that you’ve really helped me a lot in making a decision on whether to go with CF or not. Seeing your process from one week till now where your pretty much a designer has been so inspiring! It’s convinced me that if you can do it, I can to. Cyn, thank you for your videos and your company throughout this journey! I'm currently on achievement 5, and I started at the beginning of 2021 as well, and your videos always helped to keep me motivated to keep going and have an idea of what was coming next. I have ZERO previous experience in design and it is, indeed, super awesome to see our project growing and becoming a product. We should be really proud of ourselves! About the timelines, I agree with you. I graduated in Linguistics and Literature because I love reading and the pressure from society to choose a career path threw me in that direction. I loved it and value all knowledge I acquired in university, but I wouldn't choose that course if I was more mature then. Now I'm starting over my career in tech with the UX course after my 30s, and I'm proud of my journey. You inspired me in many moments of doubt, and I really hope that you keep updating us with the web development course!

It’s amazing how so many of us have had similar backgrounds- where we were passionate about something creative then ended up in a different area because of societal expectations or the thought that being creative can’t really earn you a successful career (at least that is me) You’re almost there keep going 😊❤️
