Honestly speaking, after using the pack talk bold for a few years, its totally worth it. Durable, reliable, insane battery life, and the ability to communicate directly with fellow riders has saved some of my friends from accidents. The only thing I do not like is the speakers. They are not the best quality, but I swapped them out for Iasus XSound 2.1 speakers for like 40 bucks. Its absolutely worth the money if you ride frequently.

Cardo and sena are way overpriced. No reason for the top of the lines of cardo or sena to be over 250 and now a subscription based one? Thieves.

An honest review - you’ve never even used the unit. I get you’ve used the previous generation and like Cardo, but how can you recommend it (or not) having not even used it? For the record, I actually have the Edge and love it but don’t know why this review should influence anybody to buy it.

I mean these systems (Cardo, Sena) in general are all kinda trash. They do the job and I've been using the Cardo packtalk black for a year now. The main issue is they are so buggy for how much you pay for it. My buddies and I gave up on mesh or conference pairing after it would just disconnect, never come back or just take forever to have everyone try to sync up again. Two way works like 80% of the time and at least with this you can still listen to music or gps directions. I've had bluetooth stop working needed a reset of the device or phone to get working again and the list goes on, just a pain! I work in IT and in no way am I tech illiterate. In comparison my bluetooth earbuds (sadly they dont fit with the helmet) pair and sync as soon as you take it out of the case, they never disconnect or have these problems so its not just the limits of bluetooth. It's kinda sad motorcyclist dont have a seamless device to just work and dont need to fidget with when you are hot in the middle of nowhere trying to reconnect to your friend again after it decided to fail.

It was NOT super easy to connect to another pactalk… it took a call to customer support to figure out the process. But hey, you are sponsored and got one for free, so we get it.

Shout-out to Daniel. Recently started taking motorcycle driving lessons (Belgium, we have stricter requirements) but spent many more hours watching your movies to get prepped for those motor miles. Keep it up man!

I had the packtalk version that was BEFORE the bold and I enjoyed it immensely. Was able to listen to music and able to take calls while I was actively riding.

Great review Dan, I'm in the UK and am decided on cardo but need to decide which one, as I generally ride alone. A clue of mates want to start biking next year so I'm thinking bold or edge. I like your style and straight talk so am newly subscribed. Thanks for or your efforts and a great channel 👍
