I'm a licensed master locksmith. I can say that some people putting out trash like this are just starved for attention. They will say anything just to get people to watch and think they are just Gods gift to the world. I've seen so much BS about locksmith truths and I'm beyond sick of moping up behind the wannabes out there. By the time people are fed up with the DIY BS they see on the internet and finally call a real locksmith, they are so disgusted they don't want to pay us to fix someone one else's F-up that we are tired of dealing with it. I have been lied to by so may people and when I get to a call and see the truth I just walk away not saying a word. Anyone who would believe this crap and try it would probably be the kind of people that would try to do their own root canal or open heart surgery.

I agree with you, this guy is a a clickbait idiot. I think your real problem might come from someone like the Lockpicking Lawyer. He has made me realize how I have been ripped off by a locksmith after locking my keys in my apartment. Called the locksmith, he comes over and I explain the situation and say "is there a way to open it so I can get my keys?" Nope", he says. "There is no way. You need a new lock" I ask him if he can pick it. He says no because that's just stuff you see in the movies, you need a new lock. Well you know that's BS and NOW I know that's BS. The this same senario has played out with friends of mine a bunch of times.

You've nailed it, if the customer was honest and said my mate from the pub had a go but he couldn't fix it I've told them that as long as he hasn't caused a real mess then it shouldn't cost any more than usual. But even then the job doesn't feel right because they know they've been wrong to try to save money trusting someone's word who they don't want to belittle and when they pay you it is not with the same gratitude. But just like you sometimes I have just had to walk away without even trying to explain when the wiring is twisted together and the insulation is melted etc.

These people that make these videos are doing them because every time some one watches them the will get money! This is BS what he’s doing! I have a friend that was a fire fighter medic. He came when people dialed 911. I asked if they had a key that would work on all locks or would they have to breaking your door and lock. He said hey would try all windows first and if they couldn’t get in through a window the last resort would be to break through the locks. Now if there was a way to tinker with a key so it would work on all locks they would know it. This guy is a fake!

Es video engañoso. KZread debería retirarlo porque parece sugerir la creación de una llave maestra capaz de abrir cualquier cerradura. En realidad es para crear un duplicado rudomentario de una llave. No se precisa qué es el compuesto negro aplicado con pistola ni el líquido transparente usado al final. Or just do what I do and that is use a special pick to feel around in the lock then go in and recreate a key for the lock done it several times before but it takes years or practice.

You can easily buy bulk uncut keys and take the measurements of an existing key, and use a generic nail file to make an actual dupe.

if you watch real close, when he opens the lock with this "wonder key" look right above his thumb and you can see that he is using the real key with a thin skin of his mixture on top of the key. thats why its so hard to push into the lock. oh i almost forgot right before he opens lock he shows both sides of the key made then the video jumps where it was edited so he could try and fool everyone. I'm on to you Creative Slacker

So you need the original key to make a new one. So why not take it to a key cutting shop and get the job done properly?

Watch the glue snap off inside the lock. Its a lot cheaper to use key copy kiosk

Hello. Certified locksmith here. Umm don’t do this. It’s pretty likely that this breaks inside the keyway and then you gotta get a way to dig it out and it’s not sturdy so it could break again and again. It’s just not a good idea

If it opens any lock why not try the key in a different lock other than the lock the key was made for?

I'm an experienced locksmith, I have made keys from all sorts of unusual materials just to see if I could and the example you offer risks fracturing within the core rendering the lock inoperable or at the very least much less secure...

On a low quality Chinese lock like that you can simply shim down the shackle with a piece of aluminium cut from a drinks can, opens the lock in seconds rather than spending ages making a key.

Vamos, que has hecho una simple copia de la llave, y esa no abre todas las cerraduras, solo la de ese candado 🚫

Why do this if you have the original key anyway.?

@@DucktailsZumba Болгарка (УШМ) с соответствующим отрезным диском (за несколько секунд) решает все проблемы с такими замками когда нет ключей! 😁😆🤣 P. S. Правда этот метод одноразового (экстренного) вскрытия, а для надёжного многоразового - надо сделать дубликат по классической (дедовской) технологии из металлической заготовки, а не из такого "дерьма", как в этом видео. 🤔😂

Be an adult listen to your fellow members that have tooken their time to watch your videos so do the right thing here and correct your title.

An alternative title could be ‘How to spend hours making a duplicate instead of using the self-serve kiosk your next trip to Walmart or Lowe’s.’

Be a lot less cheaper and more effective going to the hardware store. They cut keys the right way.

At 4:21 the duplicated key has metal gloss on edge so it looks like original key with proper makeup. Beside such key made with graphite and soda and glue will not be very reliable and can broke in the lock any moment.

@@CreativeHacker7 You didn't show this fact in this video - adding metal gloss to this weak duplicate. Secondly I would fear to use such duplication that it can break any moment when in padlock. Third - such key is possible to make but what for? You have original then make a proper key.

Przecież tu jest pokazane jak zaoszczędzić na dorabianiu klucza. Taki klucz pasuje tylko do konkretnego zamka i tylko mały klucz można w taki sposób dorobić. Szkoda czasu,bo fahowe dorobienie takiego klucza to 12/15 zł

I tried this. Wouldn't open any other lock except for the 1 lock it was made for.

Was für ein Blödsinn! Die Zutaten, die dazu benötigt werden, sind vermutlich teurer, als einen Nachschlüssel bei einem Profi machen zu lassen. Und die Zeit dafür, dauert wahrscheinlich auch länger! 😂 Kommt noch dazu: dieser Schlüssel öffnet genau EIN Schloss und NICHT ALLE, wie im Titel versprochen wird!
