People deserve to travel in comfort and safety. The infrastructure, from the coaches to the platforms, bridges, etc. are in poor shape. The government of Pakistan needs to urgently invest in rail infrastructure. Start with the busiest stations, e.g., Islamabad, Karachi, and build out to the Tier 2 and Tier 3 places. Thanks to "Pak Railography" for taking the time to show us these different and interesting facets of Pak railway travel. This is a great service both to Pakistan and the rest of the world. Citizens of the world urge the Pakistan government and other public-private partners to urgently attend to improvements.

Sufian sahab, 82 series was bought in late 80's or early 90's from Germany. When these locomotives were delivered to Pakistan, they came with potraits of these locos. These potrait pictures were given to PR officers as well and someone had gifted that to me, that picture had this 8203 locomotive which remained in my room for sometime. This video of yours took me 25 years back. What a sound these engines had. I used to sit after asar at Chaneser Halt station and watch up trains. That time, no cameras or mobile phone to capture. Kia baat hay meray bhai, there is a lot more to tell but you dont reply. One of your video made me cry, I will tell you when I get a chance to speak to you. Look after yourself

Karachi will be one of the biggest station in Pakistan. It is strange to see so few people in railway stations and rake lengths so small. India trains and stations are so crowded. Is rail travel not popular there? BTW - thanks for the videos - the quality is nice and you provide significant information like a true railfan. Nice to see.

Thank you. I am standing at the far end of platform thats why you can't see any crowd. Most crowd would be near the center of platform. Also currently there is only one local train is working that too on main line thats why local passengers rarely use train to commute.. Most rush is only for intercity trains.

Is train not a popular mode of public transport like in india? I read somewhere the bus owners association deters the development of pakistan railway...

It is not totally true that bus owners create problems for railways but I think there are number of factors like cleanliness, ticket availability etc.. Mostly buses are very luxurious for short journeys with affordable fares so people prefer buses over trains but if railways maintains its timetable and provides good quality coaches and journey then people will switch to railways.

Yup every diesel loco has different sound. The one used in this video is EMD GT 26 CW-2 locomotive. I think Indian Railways also has this model.
