An Evening with Adam Driver | NYFF54
Фильм және анимация
At the 54th New York Film Festival, we celebrated the thriving career of Adam Driver with an intimate dinner and conversation benefiting the Film Society of Lincoln Center. More info: filmlinc.org/eveningwith
With his mainstream breakout in last year’s Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Adam Driver has become a bona fide megastar. But those who have been following him for years, both in his Emmy-nominated role in the HBO series Girls, and in such past NYFF films as Frances Ha and Inside Llewyn Davis, have already been smitten with his artistic style. This year, festival audiences can see his wonderful leading performance in Jim Jarmusch’s exquisite Paterson, as a poetry-writing New Jersey bus driver.
The New York Film Festival tradition known as “An Evening with” is a limited-seating event that includes an intimate dinner and conversation between an important star of the film world and NYFF Director Kent Jones. Past honorees include Pedro Almodóvar, Cate Blanchett, Ralph Fiennes, Nicole Kidman, Kate Winslet, and more. We’re pleased to announce that this year we are offering two special nights featuring two of the brightest young actors working today.

Adam is very genuine in my opinion. He's not trying to be someone else or trying to cover his personality quarks. I love the fact that he has a slight awkwardness. It makes him more human, more relatable.

I like when he gets lost in his own answers and has to ask the interviewer what the question was. So relatable. But yeah, I like that he isn't a perfectly polished machine. That would be so boring. It's actually interesting to listen to him.

Summarizes exactly why he's my favorite actor. And I don't even care about celebrities like that, so that's saying something.

@@kurlykayla9013 I don't care for celebrities much either. I have my favorites but not as people... so many celebrities are AWFUL people but good at what they do. Adam is both a good person AND a good actor.
he is so lovely, sincere, and awkward. bless him.
Listening to Adam is so freaking relaxing. It also sounded like the interviewer just wanted to call him beautiful but tried to find a work around. Adam is a beautiful man. :)

Barf, stop these cringe comments
Listening to him flounder apologetically to arrive at an answer, because it's the only way he knows how to deliver a needed truth, is the only way I'm surviving this pandemic.
his grandfather sounds like such a lovely man
Beautiful personality

Adam: just got bored by my own answer Me: he could read the blu ray player manual to me and I wouldn't be bored at all.
I never knew of anyone other than my sister that taped movies and other programs then catalogued them. I found cards for each, with corresponding numbers in a drawerlike box and a cataloque with all of them listed. So incredible to me that his grandfather, probably my sister's age, did the same. I wonder if some of the movies are the same. I loved this interview where I think he was comfortable talking about his journey into acting. Bravo!
That was a very nice one! They were somewhat nervous but also somewhat dedicated to the talk but also joking. A really nice mix. I love how Adam talked more about the significance of language for him!
They have interesting chemistry. I've never seen Adam so present. He's usually a bit more armored. I think he experiences the interview as disarming. They need to go have a beer. They could be friends. Adam isn't usually that engaged.
Oh my lord!!! Those gorgeous hair!!! Just kill me already 😭
That last part where the interviewer compliments Adam’s “instrument”. I had to crack up. LMAO

I've been a huge fan of Adam since he starred on the serie GIRLS and despite not being Hollywood's most handsome actor, he's one of the most talented ones. Frankly, he's the new Al Pacino of these times, every role he plays surprises me, I hope someday he can win the Oscar.
I want to give him cuddles
Loved his character in the film!
So jealous of his wife... what an awesome guy.
