I like it, but honestly, I think 99% of people would be better served with a standard AA flashlight, capacity is reduced only by about 5% and you get the benefits of typically being able to run on a standard AA battery. I suppose this could probably run on a cr123, but AAs are easier to find, and are way cheaper. I have a few of these style lights, but never end up using them because of their ergonomics. Personally, I'd just recommend an Acebeam Pokelit AA or TAC AA. Those are my go to EDC lights. The Rovyvon dual fuel AAA light is also excellent, have that one on my keychain.

@Spolt_main - I agree with you, but there are also flashlights that give you the option of using a AA OR a rechargeable Lithium Ion. I currently carry this one - kzread.info/dash/bejne/mamkw9GAe726lsY.htmlsi=j42yPZWO42-JFFWt and after publishing that video several viewers mentioned that there are others on the market as well. I like having the extra power in a small format and also having the option to use an AA battery if needed. Many thanks for posting this.

Do you know why the site and Amazon say 1300 lm?

@jooky5 - Good question. When I was approached by Sofirn to do the review of this SC13 I was told that the max output was 1400 lm for the turbo mode. That being said, Lumens is not an easy measurement for me to test. I can however measure Lux and included that measurement for a 0.5 meter reading from the light source to the Lux meter. I included a comparative Lux table in this review. I do have another flashlight made by Manker (EO5-II) that is claimed to output 1300 lm. When I compare the lux reading for that light (10240 Lux) to the Sofirn SC13 (11762 Lux). The Sofirn does put out 1500 Lux more than the Manker. Again this is just my comparative analysis. What I like about this is that I'm using my testing rig and the testing is exactly the same for each flashlight. In regard to your question, going forward, I'll mention what the manufacture claims for the lm, but I'm also going to offer an expanded comparative Lux table for all of the flashlights I review. I sincerely appreciate your question and it will have me making some changes to the way I do flashlight reviews going forward. Many thanks.
