Bookbinder Don Taylor walks us through the binding of an early modern English commonplace book in the Library's Paleography Collection. The book is attributed to a Catholic theologian named John Hartford and was compiled in the first half of the seventeenth century. It will feature in BOX 15, an upcoming exhibition at Massey College in Toronto, Canada.
