Hi Peter. Glad to be of assistance. If I'm going to spend my life as a collection extremist I'll make darn sure that everybody I know joins me on the road to ruin😂. Seriously though, you're a man after my own heart because I like nothing better than a good anthology. Used to read them for England as a young 'un. Actually those Mammoth books and the Dozois Best ofs are excellent value at 2 quid. Only problem is you're going to need a new airing cupboard. I've a fair few of these and the're sitting in a carrier bag because I don't have the shelf space to accomodate them. You don't see that New Worlds around every day. It was another attempt to revive it following the demise of the magazine size ones and, as far as I know, there are four in the series although I've never seen 3 and 4. Especially impressed with the vintage US books. I'm a big fan of US editions and for a quid each . . . . I'm wondering if Brian has had a bit of a re-stock because I don't recall seeing many of your haul the last time I was scrutinising his anthologies. Great stuff mate and continue to go nuts. As the Cheshire Cat said to Alice . . ."we're all MAD here." Take care Kenny

Don't worry Kenny, you're doing a great job - I'm so far down that road to ruin that I'll never find my way back 🤣. My main problem with anthologies is that due to my terrible memory I tend to forget who wrote what - I really should keep a note of which stories I particularly liked and who wrote them so I can maybe follow up with reading other stuff by said authors. The oversized anthologies are I think going to have to go into the plastic Really Useful containers that I just emptied as I've already filled up the airing cupboard! I'm looking around the house to see where I can fit more shelving. You may be right about Brian restocking - the over sized anthologies look pretty pristine, though the A format vintage anthologies do look like they've been in stock a while (though to be fair they probably would look like that anyway given their age). The prices are really a no-brainer - if you saw these in a charity shop you'd snap them up. Anyway I think I'll give it a while before I go back for more! Just waiting for the next batch to arrive so I can do the next video - the Cheshire Cat spoke truly! All the very best... Peter

Hi the Warlocks and Warriors Mayflower/Granada 1971 edition with a very underrated and little known cover by Josh Kirby

I'd be interested in the duplicate, but I have a feeling that I have most of it elsewhere.

Hi Dave, I'll probably keep the HW Smith edition and pass on the Mammoth one - better cover. So it's yours if you'd like it, just let me know. It's a 'problem' with a lot of classic particularly horror anthologies that certain stories are repeated across the various volumes - years ago I did start a spreadsheet with the aim of logging which short stories I had, which books they appeared in, and where they were originally published, maybe I should start that project up again (though the amount of work entailed is daunting).
