Its catch rate needs to be reduced. I catch just as many of these as I do Ebonkoi, which is a pain in the ass when they don't stack.

It's really easy to dupe water with this setup, so you can make a 300 block pool: 💧 ⬛ ⬛ ⬛ ⬛⬛⬛ (Hold down with a water bucket on the water drop tile)

Same thing can be done for Honey and Lava. Just a much slower process but makes for easier fishing pools for those other liquids.

im honestly surprised you didnt compare it to the other fishing weapon, the very similar rockfish. while it has less range and base damage, it swings faster and doubles as a very good hammer. plus, it's easier to obtain imo, only needing to be underground, which is much safer than corruption

i got rockfish early on a 2nd playthrough with a friend who was new. it carried us through enemies for the earlygame.

Funny enough it’s not the only fish you use to smack things with, while the clubberfish is the most accessible of the bunch. The swordfish and its obsidian counterpart are ALSO used to poke things with, while the reaver shark is just a pickaxe (used to be far better than most picks too iirc). The crystal serpent technically doest actually smack things, it just barfs crystals, and the rockfish is legit just a hammer with good attack (and also bladetongue, forgot ‘bout ‘em but they squirt ichor which is pretty neat… oh and sawfish too, it’s an axe, all we need is a fish that summons)

the reaver shark used to be equivalent to the molten pickaxe, which was stupid as that meant you could get hellstone pre-boss.

I have never heard of the ice dagger fish until this video, that HAS to be the next review because the few seconds you showed made me want to go fishing in an ice biome

Even though it was mentioned in this video, it would be cool to see something on frost dagger fish, as throwing weapons like daggers aren’t really good, meanwhile frost dagger fish are decently common and are really powerful and like you said could possibly take you to skeletron.

Ah yes, my purple clubberfish technique, I haven't used that since the Heian era.

Even if you are restricting yourself to just melee, and just true melee at that, just get a blood butcherer or light's bane Going corruption in true melee is an odd choice, boc feels like a much easier boss for tmelee and you also get fetid, flesh knuckles, ichor, and bers glove easily later

I did in fact find use out of this! I'm in a multiplayer world that is progressing slowly (on purpose), so Ive spent a lot of time fishing with the extra time I don't have in singleplayer, and it's a pretty useful starter sword, similar to the cactus sword but better.

I havent played the game in a while and i came back Your videos are really helping me thank you.

I did a fishing loot only run and I got a ton of these, they have good sell price and aren't terrible when your options are that limited, it works best to deal with lower threat mobs like slimes and zombies and such but falls apart with ranged enemies or those resistant to knockback like bosses or jungle maneaters

I was just seeing if you made a video on this the other day as I used it once thinking it was good damage for being able to get it so easily

Well, when I was doing expert+expert run it saved me a lot, cuz I wanted to explore the jungle and back then I was dying a lil too fast upon encountering jungle bat and I had perfectly placed and safe enough underground corruption near my base

Out of all weapons in Terraria, the purple clubfish is definitely one of them

On Celebration Mk10 worlds, i always go for the pearlwood sword, which can be obtained by finding any sky island

Make a video on the Frostbrand, it's a amazing early hardmode melee weapon that's easy to get. I found it very useful and underrated due to how simple it is to obtained and versatility

I literally just discovered this yesterday doing a corruption angler quest💀

U should do a video on the "frost staff", not the "frost hydra staff" just "frost staff", dropped from ice elementals and ice mermen. I didn't know this weapon existed until I randomly found it while scrolling the wiki

My favorite weapon build is what i call "the saint" and it's basically a summoner mixed with a melee build except you can only use weapons that are either silver and or gold, or weapons that are similar to Christian iconography. It's basically just a summoner equivalent of a paladin. The lord has commanded you to fuck shit up and you shall.

The clubberfishes cousin the rock fish I think has better stats all around, and as a bonus it doubles as a hammer tool

Is it okay if I recommend the blizzard staff to be reviewed? I feel like it's always overshadowed by the razorpine because the razorpine is slightly easier to get. But the blizzard staff is a really good mage weapon, and can almost match the razorpine in usability

It's pretty good as a wombo combo with the shield of cthulu imo. It's fun to obliterate low tier enemies with for sure.

You should review the frost armor

Just fish for Rockfish, not sure how it is now compared to Purple Clubberfish since Purple Clubberfish got a slight buff at one point. At least Rockfish is easier to obtain, and still served well as a hammer once you get better weapon. slightly smaller and less damage, but much quicker.

I dont know if you have done this already and I'm just dumb but if you haven't maybe consider 'max weapon size' for your next max stat video.

I remember fishing it casually and it carried me for half of pre hardmode (brain of Cthulhu)

Ah yes, the Purple Clubberfish. It's that weapon I only know from trying to fish for Corrupt Crates because the Shadow Orbs wouldn't drop a Vilethorn.

I always end up with a full inventory of these things when I'm trying to get ebonkoi for wrath potions. Basically garbage. I wish they could stack so they'd be easier to throw away.

Everytime I fish in the corruprion my inventory is full of these.

This weapon goes hard in the zenith seed

Its good against the eye of cthulu as you can tank the eye assuming you have armor and some hp, which is reasonable because you'll likely go fishing early on to get prepared for potion making. Other than that its pretty useless.

If it wasn't so difficult to fish it, I would consider going for that as my first weapon in the run. All you need is dirt to enclose yourself while fishing and a wormhole potion to escape later. But just how long would it take to get it... ugh.

Can you show everyone that sentries damage actually incrasing minion damage aswell. I already test it fight against planterra. First i use hallowed armor, sanguine staff, and durendal. For accessories i use pygmy's necklace and summoner emblem. It can goes to around 500 dps with some potions. And then i test squire armor durendal and sanguine staff. with some sentries accessories and same buffs. It only has 3 minions but it can goes to 400 dps with only minions. I guess it can up to 500dps+ with some sentries placed in.

With the lack of projectiles and no new effects that it has compared to what other melee weapons have, I just find myself selling it if it gets into my hands, although this video did make me reconsider

Fyi, I’m am not making it up, when I got the first bat bat, I was shocked, but 5 more drops and we are like “another bat bat… yay…”

But how it is compared to enchanted sword if you lucky you also can find it at day 1. And its my go to early sword that can also shoot.

I’m on a playthrough to complete as many achievements as possible in a single world. I’ve found four bat bats and zero clubber fish despite running angler quests every chance I get.

Really, I only ever use it as a hammer. I think it beats most ore-based hammers in the early game, and carries decently until the WoF is beaten.
