Kudos for admitting you paid what the rest of us would pay (sticker or more) with these inflated prices. I have been getting annoyed with KZreadrs saying they paid below invoice on cars lately when we know it’s probably not the truth.

You should set up your 0-60 timer in ur settings and run some before and after u change ur tires, I’ve ran 4.2 on the stock 245’s haven’t tried again since I put 275’s on, love the blue as well

That’s a great car for the money. All the power of an SS. I love our 2SS convertible.

Thats a dealer installed tint. They only come 70% dipped from factory I work at the factory, in case you’re wondering.

Nice video and car. I don’t really have any visibility issues through the rear myself. And as far as blind spits, proper side mirror adjustment go a long way. Curbs are tough to see, and turning left onto a busy street is scary as hell.

The 6th gen Camaro is the best one yet, 5th gen may have a bit more room and a bit heavier though.. I'm a proud owner of a 21 SS 1LE, I hear so many saying visibility is bad... " If you can drive visibility is a none issue in the Camaro "... I like the non RS faisha on the LT1 and the 10 speed auto is faster than the SS models... Cool car. Those are 4 piston brakes in front. The 1 le has the Six piston in front -four in back with 1 Le package. That’s on my 2019 SS 1 Le. Nice color that rapid blue

the 245 all seasons are fun in that the grip level is low but they are not an effective performance tire. For a daily tire with all weather flexibility its fine. BUT if you are not used to driving a powerful RWD car...keep ESC on lol.

people don’t realize the LT1 with the V-8 is lighter than the SS slab some offset wheels and tires on that thing and it’s actually a great car I should know I own one of course it has a six speed manual.

@@user-yi6dd1pi8s Idk if happens in the stang. I just got a camaro so I knew that. You can also put it in manual mode when you’re cruising from a high gear and then hold the downshift on the paddles,it will downshift until 2nd or 3rd the same way.

@@rickertonfickerton1268 well in the 5th gen Camaro and C7 Vette when you slam the gas and release in sport and track mode only it will of course drop the gears down to 2nd - 3rd gear but it will literally open the hidden drive mode "performance shift" mode which turns these cars into ROLLING weapons from Rolls

@@JJj-zk8tz damn 49k? Kinda pricy, when I was in the market I could of gotten a 2020 2ss with the npp and sunroof for 45k and 0 miles but tbh I didn't like the front end so I went with the 2017. And I don't regret it one bit.

@@diegogodinez6511 yeah mine doesn’t even have the sunroof tho (not that I want it) it’s got the extended warranty 3 months in and it needed a new catalytic saved me lots of money but I do love the car

They have some LT1’s in my state that are new for high 30’s or low 40’s with additional options. These are a great value in today’s market. If you’re not taking it to the track all the time the LT1 is just fine. It’s a simply car with everything we want and nothing we don’t need, at least to me. It’s too bad they’re not making these anymore because I think they’re a better car than the Mustang and I’ve been a Mustang fan for a long time.

Good video. I have been trying to decide between special ordering an LT1 or 1SS in that exact color combo. The main thing I like about the LT1 is you can rotate the tires since they are all the same size and I do like the sleeper look. But after seeing your video, I think I am leaning towards the SS. I get the impression you would prefer the SS tire setup (275s in the rear tires)?

@@forza388 lt1 is a "street" version of the ss. it has the bose sound system and a more look. The 1ss come standard with magnetic ride suspension, 4 piston brakes front and back, trans, engine, and diff cooling options as well as staggered wheel setup. the ss is more track oriented

I have the LT1, I would go for the SS, you get the video mirror, heads up display, more stuff on the dash display. You can also get the sideview mirror alert things. The engine and trans are the same. I think there are other things. I love my LT1, I have almost 12K trouble free miles on it, though I'm trading up to a ZL1 cause I think it's going to be more collectable.

I got the same exact car except I got the red day spectra lighting in the doors and I got a 6 speed

Prefer the front fender as it was originally designed in 2016. The only sporty designs Chevy sells are the Corvette and the Camaro. The Corvette has been redesigned several times but the only changes GM has come up with for the Camaro is to screw with the front bumper. They’ve never done anything about the poor visibility. GM has ignored the Camaro since the 2016 intro of the sixth-gen. The SS and the LT1 Camaro can outrun both the Mustang and the Challenger on any track or road course but they’ve totally ignored the major design flaws of this car. Remember the excitement back in 2015 when Dodge came out with the Hellcat? There’s still a market for performance cars, and younger buyers can’t afford Corvettes or pricey new EVs like the Blazer SS. As someone who’s owned five Camaros and two Firebirds, I’d like to think that GM will bring back a reasonably priced internal combustion car in a few years because there’s a market for it. But with GM you never know!

Basically in the same boat. Bought a 2019 LT1 v6 recently and loving it though I would love a v8. But I bought used so you definitely got me there.

Those are 4 piston brakes in front not 6 👍🏻

Bigger tires on the oem wheels aren’t going to help with traction and hurt handling and increases wear. I’ve been down this road super low profile side walls is bad too. It’s better to have as an example, better to have a 255-40 than a 255-30 for grip in terms of acceleration.

The 10r80 is different then chevys, gm’s don’t have as high of shift pressures and they use different clutch packs. Mustangs 10 speed is superior unless u tune it and change the clutch packs, but u probably won’t make enough power for it to be super noticeable

The GM model is a 10L90 or 10R90. It’s from the GM large suv/truck line. It’s actually more refined, but oddly less efficient on fuel. And it’s heavier, slower in acceleration than the old 8 spd from 2016-18’.

Get a Procharger. Have 2017 Camaro SS with a P1X Procharger pushing 700hp. Really wakes them up. Didn't like the stock power much but now she is a different animal.

The AFM is bad for the valves & lifters & the top speed is 144 with the factory governor!

Thinking about trading in my 2021 GT Premium PP1 stang for an LT1. I just want a cheaper monthly payment and being that it’d be $10K less than my current GT I should be good lol. I could easily afford my GT but if I could get a payment that is about $200 less why not. Smart move or will I miss the GT? Also would you recommend just skipping the LT1 and go 1SS?

If you plan on modding tbh stay with the stang. I have a 2019 2ss Camaro I love it but with mods stang is a few seconds faster. So not. A biased answer. If you plan on keeping stock then yeah Camaro is amazing

Sounds like your track prep wasnt good. I have a 2018 SS which came with the Eagle F1 all seasons and while they are horrible on the road trying to launch they gripped at the track no problem or maybe the tire size caused your issues. I have 275 rear and 245 front. Anyway beautiful color on the SS

You didn't even know the size of the wheels on the Camaro you bought and have been driving for 800 miles?? For future reference look on the tire sidewall..see where it says 245/40/R20. That 20 is your wheel diameter. The 245 is the width of the tires in mm, and the 40 is the aspect ratio which is the height of the sidewall as a percentage of the width. So .40 *245 = 98mm sidewall height. Oh and the R in front of the 20 just means it's a radial tire.
