I love how she's so nonchalant that she effs up and has to start over, but cares enough about the audience to say, "You know, I effed that up. If you wanna leave, you can... but if you stay, I ain't leavin' til Thursday!" Love this chick.
No words, just sublime. And her scatting/improvisation during MosDef's final lines must be what angels sounds like, so beautiful it hurts. What a huge talent gone too soon, will miss you forever Amy.

For sure I believe she had an Angel's voice she was an old soul and just came for a visit for a reason only Thr Lord knows. Such an heartshattering event. Been there too many times.

It's actually so cool, imagine what she could have done today if she was still alive
The day Amy died my heart just broke and I didn't know her. But I love her as a sister, my best friend. When she sang I knew that I was not alone; that there was someone else in the world that felt the way I did. And in my joy and despair she was next to me, holding my hand and singing just for me. How rare is that? What a great and terrible loss. Tears roll down my face and my heart bleeds, forever.

She could adjust her voice 2 sing with just about anybody. Check her out play'n guit on Jools, when she 1st came out, she was pretty good, 2 much talent 2b gone already.

They both are insanely talented (Mos def is an amazing actor as well as a musician), sadly only one gets to still show us the talent live. She was so close to beating her demons. I loved her from the first time I heard You Know I'm No Good which led to me discovering the rest of her work. She will always be a legend for her brief time.
Of course Mos would colab with Amy he even said he had a crush on her in the Documentary lol

Well I never get tired of saying something about Amy. She was a genius! She wrote almost every song she did first of all. Second she started young she knew what she wanted and that she had the talent. And thats putting it mild. As I have said before people who have it all and are determined to make her music! There's only Amy Winehouses, Janis Joplin, Billie Holidays, the best of them that come around every 35-50 yrs. So sad

Such an utter gangster an perfectionist.. people dont understand what we missed out on. Mos Def is undderated generally BUT he deserves an extra level of respect for recognising sheer talent & mixing with Amy.
He totally balanced her out . 🙏 bless him and their friendship 💕. I could listen to Yasiin Bey speak all day ! 😍

+livingstonmail ------Seemed like she liked Mos, I dig him 2, & they sounded good on this trac, he's multi-talented also. Some ppl say she had 2 many blacs around her, apparently she felt chill around us, & I never heard of any blac person doin her wrong. We (blac ppl), loved her, her voice was so soulful, & 2b n that little body. I thought she was blac when I 1st heard her, I really didn't care what color she was, the musik was good. Am I crazy, but wouldn't it have been awesome, if her & L. Hill, could've done something 2gether? Peace

@@kimberlygriffin6400 mos, Amy Winehouse, and Lauryn Hill would've extremely fucking dope. And I think the reason she hung around so many blacks is cause she enjoyed mainly black music. Jazz, soul, r&b, and you can hear the influence in her voice. Black people are dope. Y'all always overcome. Fuck the racist narrative.
Amy's vocal improvisation 💖 our dear sweet nightingale is now a bird of paradise flying high.
“Yeah it sound like a plan and they deal you a hand, but the chips don’t fall like they did before, Like at first it was awesome, now it’s just torture cleaning me out with the game that I taught you” jeeeez man too relatable 🔥
an amazingly attractive woman. unique voice, unique style. so beautiful. can listen to her songs all day long. like no other artist. immortal indeed. i wish i had listened to her songs when she was alive.
Here after hearing the minight miracle,(Dave chapelle, talib kweli and mos def) it was about inspiring people people like amy and robin Williams, depressed people. It was heartbreaking.

Even the guitar flow that glides with her improv is just sublime
I was honored to be on her show. The voice of angel who sing beautiful songs, and again - wild and untamed. She definitely was the greatest white singer of black music. I couldn't assume that it was her final performance in life (Belgrade, 2011). The media has crucified her afterwards. Shortly after we were forever abandoned. Rest in peace sad girl with a voice of an angel.
absolutely amazing. this moment will never be recreated.
love her.....very few have reached me like her.
Soulful, sensual, and superior vocals makes her legendary. No one can duplicate bcuz she shares a piece of her thru her music. Her interpretation and projection of each song makes her a real singer. They tell a story thru each song. You feel the love, pain, loneliness, etc. bcuz that is what real singers do. What a gift and a tragedy at the same time. Sad she had to leave us but happy she shared her gift to the world. You knew she was struggling thru things but we loved her just the same. Rest In Peace great one. Mos def? Love him n he killed it. Music at its finest. Hip hop meets diva ness.
i always loved this performance, a lot.
I can't imagine there is anyone who put as much of themselves into their music.
I truly admired & respected the talent of Amy Winehouse........I really did. As for myself, personally......the DEFINITE saddest part of her untimely passing is the mere thought of what the world of music truly lost.......WHAT COULD HAVE BEEN.....had not the demons of Drugs & Alcohol become such a major part of her existence. She was UNIQUELY gifted......the kind of gift that is most noticeable when it's gone.
Kills me everytime, her beautiful voice, great band. This heart wrenching song! awesome!

For you I was a flame Love is a losing game Five story fire as you came Love is a losing game One I wish I never played Oh what a mess we made And now the final frame Love is a losing game Played out by the band Love is a losing hand More than I could stand Love is a losing hand Self professed profound Till the chips were down Know you're a gambling man Love is a losing hand Money ain't a thing I'm a King you a Queen Big money stacks, six stacking away Tell him king love queen either red or black Like we could beat the house cash out and just bounce Ride out into the sunset and never come back Yeah it sound like a plan and they deal you a hand But the chips don't fall like they did before Like at first it was awesome now it's just torture Cleaning me out with the game that I taught ya I guess it's my fault for taking your offer Casino on the TV in the hotel room I watch it for a few now I'm thinkin 'bout you Who's Jija? Who's Sam? Is it all just a scam? Do you even give a damn? I shut you out my hand But you ain't coming back and you breeze with my stacks But it's deeper than that, I just wonder where you're at And how I can get there You whisper in my left ear Money ain't a thing you a King I'm a Queen Though I battle blind Love is a fate resigned Memories mar my mind Love is a fate resigned Over futile odds And laughed at by the gods And now the final frame Love is a losing game
