Amy Winehouse - Do me good

Музыка

Rehab B-side
Do me Good
Got Back Together With My Man Last Night
But I Think I Was Dreaming He Didnt Feel Quite Right
I Pressed His Chest Under My Fingertips
Beside Myself I Sighed And Reminded Of His Lips
Im Confused And Quizical
Funny Dontcha Know
I Just Wan Get Physical
Let Me Tell Ya How
Do Me Good Ill Tell You Anything You Want To Hear
Do Me Good Do Me Good Do Me Good Do Me Good
Do Me Good And All This Craziness Will Disappear
Do Me Good Do Me Good Do Me Good Do Me Good
Its Like He Was Designed With Me In Mind
Hes So Good From Behind
Hes Beautifully Defined
I Miss Him Most Of All When It Got Late
Attempt To Hear Him Breathing
Or Feel His Shifting Weight
Im Confused And Quizical
Funny Dontcha Know
I Just Wan Get Physical
Let Me Tell Ya How
Do Me Good Ill Tell You Anything You Want To Hear
Do Me Good Do Me Good Do Me Good Do Me Good
Do Me Good And All This Craziness Will Disappear
Do Me Good Do Me Good Do Me Good Do Me Good

It doesn't matter if you were a fan then or recently became one - what matters is that you were exposed to something wonderful. It is a tragedy that she's gone but her legacy as a pure, genuine talent will live on forever in her music.

When she passed I hadn't heard anything besides rehab... In the time since, she has influenced me beyond measure... She's my go-to, my favorite, my blue days and my joy, my revelrie and my reverie... I don't miss many things (I'm broken like that), but it makes me very sad that there's no more skin in the game and I miss her breath. Can I just say... 'Love you girl, miss you, so much'.

Same. I was in middle school when she passed and only heard rehab. It's my last favorite song of hers now. I honestly get so sad and angry hearing that song. The media was horrible to her for her addictions and they overplayed that song so I saw her as a no good addict and horrible person. My little sister started showing me her music a few years ago and now she is one of my favorite artists--and people. I wish she had a chance to get better, whonknows what kind of beautiful music shed have still been making 😞

I've lived abroad for 15 years and she wasn't on the radar here. I knew of her, but didn't know about her. When I found her music a couple of years back, I shared in the tragedy of such a talent lost. I like her Motown style stuff - the notion that I missed out on a possible rebirth of that in the UK is hard to accept.

+OlymPigs2010 Amy was good, great even; but the "Empress of Jazz" ....sorry but that title was taken a long time ago. I loved Amy and her music too but lets be honest...does her stature within the Jazz genre measure up to a Billie, Sarah or Ella...I don't think so.

  • @OlymPigs2010

...None of those vocalists wrote their own great, amazing songs like Amy did...and Billie Holiday Sucked...well...that's what Amy "The Empress of Jazz" said!

  • @anthonytruitt3487

    @anthonytruitt3487

    8 жыл бұрын

You're obviously not a Jazz aficionado or a true fan of this art form ...otherwise you wouldn't make such blanket uninformed statements...Amy herself, if she were still alive, wouldn't wear that moniker. Furthermore if it weren't for the true original jazz vocalists, who you apparently like to deride, there would be no Amy Winehouse. Lastly, Amy was to much of a multiple genre and Pop artist to be considered a Jazz Vocalist in the pure sense let alone an Empress of the genre. "Billie Holiday sucked" ....If Amy said that it was probably right after she shot up or snorted something...I don't think you'll find anyone of relevance in the Jazz world past or present who would agree with that statement...says a lot about you.

It really says a lot about us as a nation when we see a legendary artist like this going through hard times and feel the need to abuse her, rather than support her. Her talent is undeniable and shines through every record i have ever heard her perform. Phrases like 'her face is rotting off' are pathetic. Are we no better than the media who built her up to knock her down?

Too much hatred in the world! It recieved such a beautiful and precious blessing called Amy Winehouse that the world was not prepared to recieve. This is one of my attributes that separate me from a world that is unable to appreciate something truly special. She will always speak to my heart only with her voice & images of beauty to match. Hope to meet her in the next life. : )

The big problem here is that i still can't understand the english very good so i need to hear the songs while i read the lyrics to make a complete sense of her words. But even without understanding anything i can say that the voice make good harmony with the instruments, especially when a Saxophone comes out :)
