I heard this song for the first time on WVNPR yesterday as I was driving home. It brought tears to my eyes. Thank you Amy for your spirit and for your voice.
I saw Amy sing this at Falcon Ridge Folk Festival. Very moving!
Such an amazing talent and a magical voice.
Hey Amy, As usual, OUTSTANDING! Have been eagerly waiting for this. Hey folks, if you haven't seen Amy live yet, you are really missing something big! The song brings tears each time I hear it. I am looking forward to seeing you at Fox Run in February!
i first heard this song sung by Judy Collins. i have looked for it ever since. beautiful song.
If this wonderful song ain't an anti-war song I'll eat my hat. It's a condemnation of all war. The young people die the old people cry. That's war. Always was, always will be. Those who see this as a pander to country and patriotism need to listen again...hard.
I saw Amy perform as an opening act at a recent Shawn Colvin Concert in Tarrytown, she was phenomenal
Hi Amy
Just been to see Judy Collins at The Queens Hall in Edinburgh, Scotland and all were moved by this song - I had to ask Judy's pianist to remind me who wrote it. It's on the move. Peace x
Great song - heard her last night in Dallas opening for Guy Clark - she is a very gifted singer/writer...I see why Judy Collins likes her work.
Watched Amy perform this last night in Philly. Very moving! Great song and great video!
Superbe ! Thanx from France !
Ya made me cry.
This is an amazing song. Thank you, Amy.
Awesome Amy! Incredible!
I love it
Nice voice
My dad and my brother and in this video
Who is that sexy puerto rican soldier?
Stand by your comments all you want. According to you, all works of fiction are cons. Because Picasso wasn't at Guernica, his painting was obviously "shameless pandering." Your argument is as convincing as your apostrophe useage.
