He's an egotistical, narcissistic, manipulative former alcoholic and drug abuser. The peak of his alcoholism happened during his relationship with Amy and that plus his gaslighting is why she broke up with him and wrote about her experiences in this song. She wished him well afterward in his rehab, which he announced he was checking into only when the song came out. He has the audacity to still trash talk her for not wanting to remain friends with him and daring to write a song about her experience, as she's usually done. No surprise however, that his wife in SA pre-Amy had left him, and that his girlfriend after Amy also broke up with him and trashed him for being a manipulative user.

This is only your 3rd song in and boy do you have a road to travel. Amy's voice is like an instrument in itself. She gets harder you've only started scratching the top. I would suggest maybe Sweet Sacrifice for a harder note to get started. You must listen to Lithium, Lycramosa and if you want some real chills look up THE SESSIONS LOST IN PARADISE EVANESCENCE it's just her voice and a piano, The first time I heard this version I LITERALLY CRIED! There are so many songs I could go on forever but once you start this journey of Evanescence you'll always be in wonder of how does she do it?

I believe they recorded the 1st minute of the cover for the Gears 5 commercial, but because they got so much great feedback from fans, they decided to record the rest of the cover. I believe that's how it happened, but I'm not sure.

That's exactly how it happend and Xbox payed for the studio time, since the song was used to promote the Gears 5 game, it was used as a soundtrack promotional single... Evanescence were not trying to make it a music video single, but in November 2019, they went to Knotfest Mexico and things went down horribly, the event went out of control similar to Woodstock 99, but not as savage but in the sense, over flooded of ppl, ppl got injured, the barricades between general zone and VIP zone were not secure, so the weight and ammoutn of ppl broke em down and it became a chaos, all VIP ppl became suddlenly pressed like sandwich and this happend at the very end of the festival, when it was only Evanescence and Slipknot as headliners of the main stage, they both were asked to not go out and we all stand there like 3 hours waiting for ether Ev or Slipknot to go out and then they cancelled the show without any advise, all Evanescence gear was set on the stage bc they were literally minutes away to go to perform when chaos happend in the crowd. Lack of security and all made a horrible experience, everyone left at like 3am without any more music, and when there were like 500 people left out of a 50,000 people crowd, these 500 people started a riot, setting on fire cables, advertisements, trash being set on small fires around the pit, and then they went onto the stage and tore down Evanescence drum kit, they set it on a big fire in the middle of the pit, so as other stuff like pedals were set on fire, then police and bombers came in to take like 200 people only and well it was a nightmare.... SO this event pissed off Evanescence but not with Mexican fans they know it wasn't us, it was a small group of drunk drugged ppl in a worldwide festival, but they used this rage to turn it into creativity. Making a music video about the game but also using it as inspiration of them being together as a chain through all obstacles and at the end of the music video the drum kit is set on fire again, turning a tragic event into a form of art represented in a music video.

Isn't there two versions of Seethers Broken 1 recorded without Any Lee and then the one the Executives it the record company said for then to do or they'd drop the contract Yeah Broken the first version didn't do so good and with a shit ton of money invested Seether was told record it against with Amy Lee because they (Evenesance was a hot topic just coming 0ff recording that motion picture sound track and the second album ) record it it get sued for breech of contract , so yeah there ya go..
