History :
A heavy tank design was proposed by the AMX company in 1950. Designated as the AMX 65 t (for it's planned 65 tons weight class) the vehicle was developed alongside the AMX 50 100 and initially it was considered as a tank destroyer version of the existing AMX M4 but proceeded as a heavy tank.
It was supposed to feature reinforced armor with a "pike nose" and sloped armor plates. The other components and hull configuration resembled the Royal Tiger. This project did not flourish and existed only in blueprints.
In World of Tanks , the AMX 65 t is a tier 8 heavy tank belonging to France and heading up to the tier 10 the AMX M4 mle 54.
