Pretty awesome film I gotta admit Kenshin was at he’s OP killing mode half of the film I mean awesome they made the back story before leading up to the opening of the first film

Same here, i falling in love with tomoe since the day i watched the ova. Then when they released the live action, i am falling deeper

映画しか見てなかったけどこれ見てほんとにこーゆう物語なんだっておもって再現率すごっておもった　アニメのるろ剣も興味わいちゃった すごすぎる　そして映画よすぎたぁぁ😭

The OVA is a masterpiece, even superior to the manga version of this arc. Both are different but I prefer this version.

someone help me here. Im pretty sure I remember from my childhood Kenshin killing Tomoe the same way Shishio killed his wife, with a thrust not a slash. I remember because I thought at the time that the writer was a genius.. maybe it is the anime version?

No. Your memory was wrong. It is as it’s shown in this video. Kenshin felt and then dreamed about Yumi’s dead only because he remembered the way he killed his own wife. God Bless You All!!! Bye!!!

Its befitting the plot though. Its the dark past of the wholesome ish imagery of keshin Himura persona we see in the anime series. And heck, the real ending in his life story is so grounded and realistic. I mean, in the end, no matter what you do in life, death is all there is. Good thing he died in the arms of the one he loved.

@@farishakim6759 Yep. Watsuki didn’t like the ending of OVA 6, so, is not canon. The true anime ending is in the final episode, in a extra scene. Search it here as “Rurouni Kenshin last scene”. God Bless You All!!! Bye!!!

Its a series of ova, prequel to the series of ova that concludes his life after all the events in the tv series. The art style is more grounded and somewhat depressing in the final ova s in my opinion.

Tomoe debió escribir en su diario que ya había dejado atrás su venganza y que quería estar a lado de Kenshin. Así él hubiese podido pelear con total facilidad.

Was a hard time then. Everyone had their own convictions and Tomoe realized Kenshin was a kid with a pure heart and good intentions (yes, Ken was only 15 at that time). God Bless You All!!! bye!!!

@@user-ik5ct9vq4v 世間一般では、勿論実写は成功とされてるけど、自分としては到底受け入れられるものじゃなかっただけ。 自分の中では、まだアニメ化もされてない人誅編だけは実写化して欲しくなかった。 人誅編と星霜編は、人斬りとしての剣心という、るろ剣の最も深いテーマを扱ってるわけだから、安易なエンタメ映画にして欲しくなかった。

@@user-kp1sv5bd3r 安易なエンタメをやりたいだけの製作陣ならそもそも追憶編を実写の完結編に選ばないと思うんだよな 人誅編と追憶編は大友監督にも佐藤健にも「これをやらずに終わらせることはできない」と大事に扱われてるし、やるからには前作を超える見所を作りたいのは、映画を作る人間としても商売としても当然で、実写るろ剣がこれまで観客を惹きつけてきたわかりやすい見所がアクションだったってだけのこと でもだからって不殺の誓いに宿る剣心と雪代姉弟の因縁や人斬り抜刀斎の業というテーマを蔑ろにするようならそもそもやる意味がない。『るろうに剣心』という作品の中核をなすテーマが最も表面化する人誅編を実写化するのに、そこを無視したら当然本末転倒だ 自分が受け入れられなかったのは、そこはまあ個人的な好みや思い出補正があるので当然というか仕方ないと思うけど、だからといってきちんと制作側がテーマに向き合っていた事実を無視して「安易なエンタメ映画」と切って捨てるのは筋が通ってないんじゃないかと
