Most characters in fist of the north star has really tragic stories, it goes into explicit detail about a characters tragedy, something not much animes do, Rei and Ryuga who thought they had to do whatever it took to save the ones they love, but Rei learned early on that even when his love dies he can make new loves of family and friends, Shin, who fought and died for a love he would never have gotten, he killed and taken love of others to give as useless offerings to someone who wont love him for what hes done, Juda who just wanted to be loved and honored for his style ended up forcefully getting that opinion, Fudo and Shuu who cared about the next generation and wanted them to spread love to the later generations and both men were willing to die for it, Souther who killed off his only loved one and believed that love was nothing and power was everything same with Raoh who also believed love was nothing, Toki who was willing to go through the emotional and physical pain to defeat his elder brother to try and show him his path, this much of detail continued in part 2 with Ein, a fighter willing to defend and do what it takes to defend his little girl Asuka because his love was taken from him and Asuka is all he had left, Falco who defended his love by taking a powerful title and kept her safe with her style, Shachi who sacrificed his love for power and in the end defended it till his death, Hyoh, Kenshiro's biological brother who had his love taken from him forcefully by Kaioh and had no memory of his brother until the end and finally Kaioh, who buried his love with evil hatred after he lost everything and he wanted to destroy love completely but in the end he realized the error of his ways and buried himself with Hyoh. This is why Fist of the North Star is one of the best Animes and is honestly one i prefer over dragon ball super along with JoJo and Berserk, if people took the time to understand and read and watch Fist then they will see a combination of overpowered brokeness and a very dark and emotional story about what love does to people and how they cope with it

What about Jagi? He has a very sad story in Jagi Gaiden. Jagi wanted to become a successor of Hokuto Shinken to make his dad, Ryuken, proud. He was ready to do everything to make Ryuken proud, even cheating. He just wanted to be worthy successor, yet he doesn't know how to do it right...

This Anime has many moments involving lot of pains emotionally
