Amtrak Train Hits Truck

On Saturday June 15, 2024, Even Though It’s A Weekend, Rush Hour Still Occurs Today. The Driver of A Semi Truck Is On Her Way To Pick Up Some Groceries To Deliver. A Few Minutes Later However, The Driver Drove Onto A Railroad Crossing Thinking It Was Safe To Cross, Then Due To Rush Hour, A Traffic Jam Stopped Her At The End of The Crossing, As The Driver Waits For The Traffic To Clear, She Didn’t Know That The Rear of Her Semi Was Still On The Railroad Tracks. Then, All of The Sudden, The Crossings Began To Activate, Warning of An Oncoming Amtrak Train, One of The Crossing Gates Hit The Top of The Semi As It Was Coming Down. Then, The Driver Hears A Horn, And Saw The Amtrak Train Approaching At High Speed, She Duck Down To Brace For Impact, And After A Few Seconds Later, The Amtrak Train Slams Into The Truck Causing The Semi Break Apart And Demolishing It. The Amtrak Train Took About A Mile In A Half Before Coming To A Stop. After The Crash, The Semi Trailer of The Truck Was Completely Demolished. Thankfully The Truck Driver Survived The Incident, And As For The Passengers On The Amtrak Train, Only Two of Them Suffered Minor Injuries. The Cause of The Crash Was The Truck Driver, Who Stopped On The Railroad Tracks Where She Wasn’t Supposed To, And Didn’t Stop 20 Feet Away From The Tracks Before Moving Onto The Crossing. However, It Was Decided That It Wasn’t All Her Fault, The Traffic Jam Was Also The Cause of The Accident Too. Rush Hour Always Happen, Even Sometimes On Weekends.
Note: When Approaching A Railroad Crossing, Always Stop And Be At Least 20 Feet Away From The Tracks, Look Both Ways, And Listen For A Train. These Are Rules That Can Save Your Life And Prevent Any More Accidents.

P.S. They operated the trolley across the neighborhood in the opening scenes from Mr. Rogers Neighborhood with a piece of fishline, (Not the big Make Believe Kingdom Trolley) so the truck looks great. 💙 T.E.N.

Breaking news there has been a train collision. An Amtrak train collided with a truck that was on the tracks. Thankfully no one was injured or killed as the truck driver managed to get out of the truck before the train hit the vehicle. Investigators are determining what caused this incident but it was most likely caused by traffic that was on the other side of the crossing preventing the truck from getting off the tracks. We are now interviewing the train engineer who witnessed this incident. Train engineer. I was driving the train which had passengers on it. Then all of a sudden I saw the truck on the tracks. I desperately blew the horn and applied the brakes but unfortunately I was unable to stop in time. Thankfully neither the truck driver or the passengers were hurt or killed. I can’t stress enough trains can’t stop quickly. A train traveling at 55 miles per hour for example will take a mile or more to stop which is approximately 18 foot ball fields meaning that by the time the train crew sees something on the tracks even when they apply the brakes it’s too late for them to stop in time. News reporter. A railroad safety spokesperson has said that drivers should not go across a railroad crossing until they are absolutely sure that they have enough room to completely clear the tracks without leaving any part of their vehicle on the tracks. There is a railroad safety saying which is if it won’t fit don’t commit.
