Amtrak California Zephyr | Train #6 | Rear POV | Emeryville to Martinez in Real Time | November 2021

Please also note that I originally had intended on shooting a POV video covering a much longer segment of the same train trip. But unfortunately the conductor ended up blocking off the rear end of the superliner car for a private group of passengers and made it off access for other passengers including myself. So for awhile I was not able to adjust my camera, causing the video to cut off right after our departure from Martinez.
Another POV shot during a later segment of the same train trip will go public eventually.
I've time stamped moments when the train made stops at stations and when the train passed by points of interest:

That conductors voice talking on the train’s speaker sounded funny like an old grandpa and right after departing Emeryville it was funny when you heard him say” no smoking and if you are smoking you should be on fire😂! It looked really foggy at the San Pablo bay bridge or whatever that bridge is. I’m surprised at this time that the Amtrak California still had an F59, sadly those are all long gone from the Amtrak Surfliner!

I assume that your camera was still looking out the back door of the last car when I got on at Sacramento? I am asking because when I walked through the train, someone left their camera on that door.

Yeah the camera stayed at where it was when I set it up before we departed Emeryville the whole time. Because the rear of the car was blocked off with a trashcan since it was reserved for those passengers boarding in Sacramento, I actually didn't get to check on the camera until after we arrived in Sacramento. At that point I only know that recording had stopped and the camera had shut itself off. It had a good power supply, so that wasn't the issue. Instead, it most likely overheated and shut itself down after 48 minutes of recording while the sun shined directly onto it. I only found out that the footage ended just as the train departed Martinez when I reviewed it after I got home. I did manage the record a POV video covering the train ride from Roseville and Reno later on the same day. I still haven't finished working on that video yet since it's gonna be an extremely long video.

@@Trainman2015 That video will definitely be over 4 hours long. It could also break the 5 hour barrier. With that said, editing and rendering it will take some work. I did have to move the camera a couple of times during that video to get it more or less out of the way of the sun so that it won't overheat and shut down again. So now I will have to clean up some of those transitions.
