Eastbound Amtrak California Zephyr # 6 which departed Emeryville, CA on 2/16/2023 arrives for its final discharge only station stop at Naperville, IL at 4:40pm on 2/18/2023.
New Siemens ALC-42 engines 323 and 324 are in tow which will ultimately be put into service on other long distance Amtrak routes.
GE P42DCs 45 and 41 lead A6, which one day will be replaced by the Siemens ALC-42s. A total of 125 Siemens ALC-42s are due to be delivered.
