I took this train this past April (2024). A couple of things to keep in mind - this is a very popular route which means that the coach seating will be at or close to capacity. The crew will try to keep parties seated together but may not be able to. Second, the train originates in New York the day before, so there is a distinct likelihood that it will be late. In my case it was 1.5 hours late into Tampa and 2.5 hours late into my stop at West Palm Beach. The good news is I was able to get my ticket for only $29. Also, the ride was comfortable and the train includes a cafe car.

2:12 Architecture & Interior Design authentic fan here. ......... Inside the Tampa Amtrak Station the voluminous magnitude of the spaciousness of that INCREDIBLE Super High Ceiling is absolutely gorgeous. They really could do better though than that nauseating dark green color scheme. Ugh, and those splotchy blood red thick stripes, oh god. Thick blood red stripage over dark forest green, on the walls and stanchions everywhere, unignorably in plain view.... _Dear lord !_ That color scheme harkens effectively that they turned what _has the potential to be_ a dazzling artistically restored grand victorian ballroom type affair into instead resembling a military egress soldier transport depot straight out of a world war one photograph acquired from an old shoebox tucked away in somebody's great-great-grandmother's attic from way back in the day.... so sad... It's a train station, a hub of activity and civil commerce, it *could* accomplish that with a nice polished look, distinguished and unique.... _Instead_ , as is, *it looks like a 1916 war garrison* .... Such a waste of an absolute goldmine of potential !!! Just look at all that space - *and* all the exquisite fine detail in the beams, skylights, insets in the ceiling, etc etc...... yet, in spite of all that potential, it's a princess being cast into the dungeon like cinderella..... I tell you it's an absolute DISGRACE...... and taxpayers are footing the bill.... that really sucks.. Who in gods name hired the incompetent buffoon responsible for this fiasco ? ... Are they really that unindoctrinated and are really that oblivious about contemporary design options that they could only come up with this hideous DRECK ? ? I have difficulty believing these people can match their socks in the mornings, alone, without help... civil engineer *this* .... _I really don't think so...._ ....aND by the way, thank you for this nice three & half minute video entertainment !!!!
