He might not have won, but mad respect to Fuglsang. So many guys would have been happy to tow Alaphilippe up to the line and settle for second. But he took a risk, refused to settle for second, and actually managed to outsprint Alaphilippe in the end. Sure he didn't win, but he made the race so much more exciting by his willingness to sacrifice some positions to have a chance to fight for 1st. I hope more guys will refuse to work and force Alaphillipe and other top guys to either pull or risk being overtaken, rather than pulling all the way, getting smoked in the sprint, and settling for positions.

It would take a genius to do that, since that is a sport where the most interest part is how fast the grass grows. But yeah, to the comments on this race I could listen a hundred times indeed.

What a race this was! However, I do wonder: is this a badly edited highlights or has racing changed completely over the last 4 years? I was blown away 4 years ago when this happened. Yet watching the highlights it looks less alien to me than it did 4 years ago. Now you'd almost expect these kind of finishes.

If you don’t feel anything while watching MDVP, then cycling (or winning) probably isn’t your thing.
