Amplitube 5. I've just downloaded my pre-order and given it a spin. Forget the rest. AT5 has just vaporised any and all competition. Hands down, bar none, no holds barred. I'm rather happy with it. And such.

Would you recommend using this on a vst called Ample Guitar SC? I like the strumming engine it has, but it's difficult getting a nice tone out of it despite tweaking the built in cabinet settings.

what interface are you using in this video!

I don't understand, do you plug a guitar into your Mac, then just listen to your guitar on your Mac? Or do you use this to create effects, then output back to an amp? Wouldn't there be lag when you play?

I am very jealous u got the full version. To do stereo delay you need 2 mono delays same type slightly different settings. It just makes things a little more interesting.

What is the best way to run this thing as it sounded low in volume and not good at all on my computer speakers? Even the clean was bad (clean as in DI-SO and nothing in-between). Oh, and the ultratuner is really bad as it had my guitar as being off but three real world tuners (two headstock one koss inline) all said the same. Not sure why theirs was so far off from the real ones.

Anyone know how to lower the distortion noise when not playing guitar? When i go to select any preset and click on it,before i go to play any note there is an annoying distortion sound before i play and strings?

Are these high gain patches or are you using a single coil guitar? What do you mean by distortion?

@@TheGuitarGeek Its a high gain noise.....On guitar rig i could turn it down and the guitar would be absolute silent until picked or strummed. There seems to be a constant buzz when not in play.

Any usb recording interface for a PC that that has an instrument input should work.

The more I add pedals or FX the more I can`t see them anymore on the rig chain! is there any possibility to see all of them? Thank you :)

i wonder one there is one amp that is named marshal, but all the other emulations of marshal amps have the amplitube logo, the AFD 100 has the marshal logo, but all the others like brit 8000, brit 9000s, are clearly marshal amp heads but they have amplitube written on them with a font like marshals font, really curious about why its like that, cause im wondering if they did license marshal, and if they didnt then how does that one amp have the marshal logo on it

i just looked up the afd100, and its a slash signature amp head, so i think they got that license from slash since they do have presets with his name on it

@@maximilianodelrio Hi Dude, I may be wrong, but I believe if you get the Custom Shop version, you should be able buy the one amp you want on it's own, for cheap...

@@maximilianodelrio Hi, you buy them separately. But my advice is don't screw with their credits system. Just pay with money. It costs the same and you don't get enrolled in their odd business model.

Biasfx Marshalls sound pathetic in comparison

Amplitube five is alive

I picked up Bias FX 2 over the holidays (very good sale), and love it. I wonder how this compares. Thanks for the video.

I did the exact same thing. At least on a Mac Amplitube 5 is a better app in that you can go full-screen, etc. And they seem to have true brand tone with licensed Fender amps for example not just the "59 Tweed Lux." Then there's also Guitar Rig 6 which is also good!

Bias is much much better tbh. The true potential of bias is when u use custom IRs. Try Zila cabs, Redwirez etc.

My advice, my friend, is PULL THE TRIGGER!!! You will absolutely NOT regret it! I just downloaded my pre-order and gave it a spin an hour or so ago. Forget the rest. They are history. I've never heard anything, anywhere, this good.

The brian may presets in my opinion works better with single coils on the single coil setting

@@TheGuitarGeek The bridge and middle pickup with the middle tone rolled down to maybe 6 works for almost every preset

Looks like they finally addressed the wonky signal path of past Amplitube, which looks promising. I always liked the tones of Amplitube but the gain staging was an absolute nightmare.

Yes. I had A4 and gainstaging took time. You can still mess your tones up with 5, but it is far better in this regard.

Unlike Amplitube 4 I'm not seeing the collections or complete rigs that are available for free. Are any of the equipment for Amplitube 5 free or does this just not do anything until you buy a bunch of equipment to simulate off the custom shop? Kind of annoying that they advertise as free.

Amplitube 5 is alive and kickin'. Tbh, if I was a VST guy, I would go Amplitube over BIAS or Neural DSP simply because of the UI and the quality of sound seems to be up to snuff with everything else. The Neural probably sounds best but damn do they ask for a lot of money.

you got to run it as a vst for not having a master volume and master gate it is rediculous

A5 Max gets you hundreds of sims for $300. Neural DSP plugins cost about $150 each. Is Neural really that much better?

It was likely dropping out during tuning due to a noise gate

What's not to like about this secret son of Brian May? He put a smile on my face. Amplitube 5 sounds very convincing. Much better than 4.

Surely it makes NO sense to buy the Max version alone. Buying it + VAT is about €480 - exactly THE SAME PRICE as with the AXE I/O! (Unless you just buy the software as an upgrade from a previous version). So, if you are buying AmpliTube for the first time, it costs the same to get AT5 Max with the AXE I/O as without. No brainier. I’ll just get the package and sell the interface!

I pre-ordered the AT5 Max + AXE I/O bundle as it was only $100 more and I was looking to get a new audio interface. it was a win win for me. Not to mention this is my first time buying AT of any kind.

@@jack.guitar 1.) I got the bundle straight from their site. 2.) The download was available almost immediately after it was released through their IK Product Manager.

@@TheGuitarGeek The expression pedal and the house of the product are metal.Only the cover in the place of the ipad/iphone and the cover of the expression pedal where You step are plastic.It's similar than most multi effect pedals.I don't realized any plastic on it that should be metal.Where do You think it is?

It's very fucked for two things, how can they remove master volume and how they don't consider preset compatibility? their own preset sounds like shit but the processor is the greatest and it took nearly 15 years of preset editing and they built a really cool rig simulation software but removing the master volume? like when you want to practice at night you got to edit your levels? even there is a master in the mixer but it is not overall for all presets

Bias FX 2 sounds "digital" and thin, I bought it and tried some presets and it's by far the most natural-sounding plugin for guitar yet
