Hi bro. How do I configure the FM3 to be able to change the scenes with the ampero control ?????

Bro I am having problems using the ampero control with ableton I’m able to midi map for example the” stop “button and “record” button but once I press the toggle it won’t do anything.

Can you control multiple devices daisy chaining them? I wonder if that's possible as I have a few midi pedals.

will this connect to pc via bluetooth and send midi msgs? (not with the usb cable)

hello congratulations for your video, I would be interested in ampero control to be used with fractal Fm3. I have a question .. is it possible to assign 2 functions for each switch with press and hold mode? Is it possible to change both scenes and presets? Thank you

Hi Mauro! Sorry I didn't see your comment sooner. As far as I know there can only be 1 function (Single, Toggle, Momentary or Hold) per footswitch. I've messaged Hotone support because I agree it would be great to be able to assign at least a Hold function on top of a SIngle or Toggle. As for the scenes and presets: Yes you can! :D And Fractal devices are pretty flexible MIDI wise so with PC and CC messages you should be good to go ;)

Do you know if the Ampero has an internal midi clock? If I connect a switch for tap tempo into an expression jack, will I be able to send it to pedals connected midi in?

Is it possible to program the pedal with the FM3 so that you can achieve Scene 1 with one press and Scene 2 by holding the footswitch down? After playing around with the app, it looks like that's not possible. Also... Is there any possibility you could measure the pedal and tell me how much space is on the left of the pedal before the midi out? I want to check if this fits. Thanks so much.

Hi Nik, thanks for your question! As far as I know you can only assign 1 function per footswitch. It's possible to change the Fm3 scenes from the Ampero Control but, if you want one scene per footswitche, you're limited to 4, or 6 if you have an Ampero switch (adds 2 more footswitches). That being said, one option could be programming a SCENE DOWN on one footswitche and SCENE UP on another to cover all scenes. You are left with 2 footswitches for you 2 main scenes and then the others are accessible through the UP and DOWN footswitches. There's 7cm between the left of the pedal and the MIDI Out Hope this helps 😁👍

Hi 😁 Yes and yes! You can assign multiple simultaneous functions to a single foot switch 👍 (example: Turn Delay, Reverb and Overdrive ON and turn Noise gate OFF) And it will work with any Multi FX that supports Midi 😉🤘

How would I make this work? A USB/MIDI host? A saw another guy use an app to set this up, but the GT-1 doesn't have a MIDI data sheet, so I can see what number I need to set things to, in order to select the effects, parameters, etc...

As long as your devices receive Midi through Midi cable, USB cable or Bluetooth, you should be able to control them. You must check the Midi programming inside each an set the Ampero Control accordingly 👍

Just found your video, I'm looking for info on how to setup the Dunlop mini with the ampero control. Would you have any info that may help me. Trying to do a similar thing as you did but with a different plugin. My program is not seeing it when I do the midi learn.

What plugin is it? If you hook the Dunlop into the EXP In of the Control you should be all set. Then it's a matter of configurating the right midi messages on the control app. In order to do so, you need to know the midi table of your plugin (it should be somewhere in the settings for example) and then set the Control accordingly 👍

Hello hello! Thanks a lot for your nice comment. The app is the only way to "communicate" with the Ampero Control. You use the app to tell the controller what to send (PC, CC) and how (USB, MIDI cable or Bluetooth). Then you configure the Neural Plugin (their MIdi chart is a blank canvas so you get to do whatever you wish) and then (hopefully) it works 😁

Yes you can! Just plug the expression pedal into the Ampero Control and the Switch into the Ampero 2 👍 I think you can also plug everything into the Control but that's how I use it.

Usb can probably also be used for Midi, right? Can I use USB for both Power supply and Midi at the same time?

It can be tricky depending on how different plugins handle MIDI. I haven't tried with BIAS FX but it should work (it works with Neural DSP and Mercuriall plugins). Let me know if I can help!

Hi Mr. Beer :D Thanks for the sub! Fractal products are great for midi control and you can absolutely use the Ampero Control with the Axe Fx 2. I have the 3 so I'll tell you how I did it for mine and it should be fairly similar for you. On the Axe FX: go to Set Up > MIDI/Remote then scroll the pages until you find > Other. In this page you have "Scene Select" and there is where you assign which CC command will switch the Scenes. I've chosen CC#23 (because 23 is my favorite number). On the Ampero Control: Create a Single message: CH 1 (same as the Axe FX) Type CC, Data 1: 23, Data 2: 0, Output: MIDI. This command will switch to scene 1 on your Axe Fx. For scene 2, do the same and change Data 2: 1 etc. If you have more than 4 scenes you can assign a Scene Increment or Decrement from the Axe FX (same page as Scene Select). Good luck!

@@eduardomarcucci370 That's exactly what I'm doing when controlling the Axe FX. I'm switching between scenes and not presets but basically I have a different sound for each footswitch. If you wanted to, you could do the same with presets but then you'll have cuts it the sound (it takes a bit of time to load different presets whereas scenes are different configurations inside one preset, so not cuts in the sound).

Thanks for this Just wondering, can anyone tell me if the Ampero Control receives PC Changes, It has midi in but there's nothing in the manual. I want to use it to increase the functionality of a Boss ES8 ideally the Ampero would have a bank assigned to each patch. for some odd reason the ES8 can send CC's assigned within a patch but not PC's

Hi 😁 Thanks for your question. I'm guessing, the easiest way to increase the functionality of the ES8 would be to add an ES5 to it using the control inputs you have on the ES8. This hybrid "controller controls controller" thing is a bit weird to me but maybe Boss have thought of your mega set up needs by combining different Boss ES products. I hope it helps!

@@AntoineMikhtarian Thanks Antoine So Roland support kinda scratched their head and said they'd pass it up the chain. I'm not looking to add more loops though. what I want is to be able to switch any given pedals midi preset (so via PC message) but within a an ES8 Patch. Currently this can only happen when you make a patch change. Say you've selected a ES*8 Preset which has switches assigned to toggle CC's or Pedal Loops and you've selected one or some (let's say Midi cc Boost on in a Compadre and A Loop with a Chorus Pedal) Sounds great but now I 'd like to switch to a different Delay(Timeline) and or Reverb(BigSky) Preset. Can't do it without another patch that has those preset changes along with the changes I've already made to the core tone.... I'm completely aware what a first world problem this is BTW. So, hopefully this makes sense to you. The internet is a great resource but you only get the right answer if you ask the right question. PS Hottone also got back to me and it seems that the Ampero Control can't receive PC messages Cheers

@@roscius6204 Hahaha it's a first world problem indeed but it's a problem so I think I have something 😁 I think the Ampero Control (or any other controller) has to be the one sending and not receiving the MIDI. Once you're in your favorite Boss ES8 preset you configure the Ampero Control to toggle whatever other pedal you may need and that should do it. It's almost like thinking of each preset as a new pedalboard that will be controlled by the Ampero Control. Now you need to figure out if the Boss ES8 can receive CC messages while also sending CC messages 😅 Good luck 💪

Cool video, but you make this sound way easier than it is, at least for beginners at MIDI. I’m struggling to just use Ampero Control to change channels on my amp. I can get it to change channels, however can’t seem to figure out how to get it to change channels the way I want it to. The Ampero Manual it’s just about how to connect it to your phone and do the firmware update etc. The email confirmation I received to set up my account was all in Chinese… come on.

The Ampero is amazing. I have it. But I decided to use a "proper" midi controller/foot switch.

Hi . I know its funny but I'm a beginner And actually I didn't get it 😅 My question is . Can i use ampero control to change patches from hotone ampero ? For example From P01 to P02 or P03 etc Cause you know its so hard to change patches bank .because you need to press 2 buttons to do that. I'm planning to buy this .
