You can usually buy individual pins for that type of connector.

p6 the tube gain (plate volts in diagram) was appearing blown but in pulling board to verify where to put a 1m bypass resistor, i found pot was ok! It's a bad dirty ground or something. Still trying to figure what's up! Appears i/c pin 4 indeed was the culprit...104v to 298v now instead of 120vdc shown for tp7. still 200w instead of 275 out. ps ampeg told me to f off when i said we need a service bulletin rather than giving me any support

I have a couple questions:1.Where can I get a part list and service manual for my Ampeg SVT Classic. Ampeg won't sale me one because I am not an authorized repair shop.2.On my SVT the nuts and bolts hold the metal plate and power tube circuit board together, the are solder. Do I have to unsold the nut and bold to undo them?3. Is the cathode resistor (6 in total) are they 2 watts or 5 watts? Respectfully,Alexx

Necro post time, but did you ever solve the issue? I have one that power on, produces sound, then mutes itself after a few seconds.

Did you stake the wire to the board after soldering, to keep it from vibrating loose?

I hate it when something flops around in the hole. :-) Btw, that is a bass guitar amp. I see you use a Hakko 936. I have had mine for at least ten years and it still works fine. I did have to buy a new tip a few months ago because somehow the iron fell to the floor and bent the tip. :-((( Still a good video thought. Thanks

+Robert Hurless I've had that Hakko for 10 years, no issues. Great soldering iron. Had a Tenma before that with lots of problems. Love the hobby

Well thanks in advance ... mine svt 4 came in the shop with no output sound and no power to the pre-amp PCB. After some inspecting i have found 9 broken pins on all 4 connectors .... repaired it and "hot glue" the connectors. Now I have output sound .... but I still have to find out why there is a high squealing sound during warm up ... it goes away after 22 sec .... any help appreciated from the gurus ... thanks

Hello Billy, When warming up the amp, have you observed in a dark room? You may be able to see arching on the board or disturbance in a tube. I have found on the SVT's that shorts develop in random tubes from the Heater to cathode. When this happens you can see a nice visual on the defective tube. Give that a try. TD

The SVT 4 PRO is not a PA amplifier.
