The reason why I think she has had poly for so long is because they needed time to find or create the colors needed for her hair blend. The six pack Cleo has 3 to 4 colors in her hair just to get that one solid color. I imagine they needed to go back to the drawing board to make the colors they needed and that’s the reason why we got so many Cleos and Clawdeens with poly

That makes sense! I liked the Saran blend on the ghoul spirit Cleo and they prob could have kept using that one for the poly Cleo’s, but I’m glad they finally sourced the right color blends

Thank you for letting know about saran version. Got mine today at Walmart. Now I have two versions of them because of the different hair colors, feels like different dolls. I cannot decide which one is better, so i am going to have both as sisters. 😊

You are an actual blessing for pointing out the back of the box trick to find the Saran variant, I bought the poly variant and litterally have not touched her once, but I just bought the Saran variant using ur tips and now I’m about to start restyling while I watch ur vids lol

I just watched this video, and I went to check my poly Cleo's packaging. She has the saran variant box, but she is poly for sure. I just ordert a new Cleo and hope she is saran🤞

Thanks for the tips, especially looking at the side of the box, I was able to find a saran MB cleo because of you ❤ she also had the same extra white boxes on the back of the packaging.

Thanks to your video I was able to find Monster Ball Cleo with Saran hair in Canada. The back of the box is the same. I don't know if Amped up Frankie is an Amazon Exclusive but I ordered them from Amazon and they're beautiful!

I refuse to give Mattel money for poly hair so I didn’t buy that Cleo, now I have to seek the Saran one

My cleo has the back of saran but her hair looks dark like the poly!!!! Just ordered her from Amazon to compare. Ty so much!

great review-and very informative- I did,nt realize monster ball cleo had poly or saran hair-have ordered mine from amazon -so hoping I get the saran cleo- I,m not a fan of the poly hair at all- I think it makes the doll feel cheap and not worth the money for the poly hair

Yes the saran version came out of no where. Good luck, I hope you get the saran variant! And yeah I’m hoping poly hair is phased out entirely soon

i'm not good at recognizing hair, but i think my core cleo is a saran variant, her hair is really soft and it has that vibrant blue you just talked about. And i never did anything to it, didnt even brush it and it still looks great

No prob! I found the Saran variant on Amazon and the poly variant at Target but maybe once stores get newer batches when the old stock sells out they will be Saran

Thankfully this Frankie is now $15 on Amazon

Also, it’s a very common thing for a lot of dolls to be released with minor changes, even hair types being included, thinking back in the past, I know, Bratz style it, Dana came with nylon, poly, and I think she also had saran, and Mattel Consistently does this with their fashionistas along with their other doll lines

Is there a Monster Ball Frankie? Toys are so expensive where I live, the ones in the coffins are $69 each, which works out about $45 US. The core ones are $50, which works out to about $35 US. Everything is so expensive here....

Amped Up Frankie is sort of the Monster Ball version of Frankie, in the animated series that is the outfit Frankie wears to the Monster Ball. And yeah international prices are so terrible for most dolls, I’m sorry 🥲

Yeah that’s true! That’s how I was feeling towards the end of the vid, like hmm can’t be giving too much props to Mattel since this should have been the standard from the start
