it's because european metal bands aren't nearly as commercialized as US bands...also for some reason I don't understand most people seem to prefere the more rhythmic US style with it's hard riffs over the european style that's more on the melodic side and generally more diverse/creative. I also prefere bands like Children of Bodom and In Flames over such as Lamb Of God, Cannibal Corpse, etc. or Iron Maiden over Metallica because of that. To me US metal is for headbanging and european metal for listening intently...I do like the former don't get me wrong but to me it can't hold a candle against the european stuff. I'm not comparing the lesser bands of both styles btw as I'm sure it's clear there's a ton of mediocre and bad bands on both sides of the Atlantic.

I agree 100% Amorphis is much higher quality music than Metallica. Amorphis have all amazing musicians. My favorite band!!!

I literally have more Amorphis on my phone than any 5 other bands. I hope that, one day, you get to see them live. My daughter and I drove 7 hours for the chance, once.

This is one of most beautiful and powerfull songs that i`ve ever heard. Every song of them is just amazing and full of emotions. Men, i love Metal!!

We all have a song that when it randomly comes on in the car stereo pushes you to go at breakneck speed. Here it is, for me. Three fines totaling $180 not many years ago. That's why I love her... Great Amorphis, I'll see you live one day, I know it!

My daughter put three Amorphis tracks onto a memory stick back in 2004, with some other metal. I had a BMW 740i and was commuting from Luxembourg to Paris and I was listening to My Kantele when I was flashed doing 260kph. That's 160mph. Fortunately for me the Luxembourg police don't share data with France.

The level of power in Tomi's hair is also pretty fucking legendary.

Amorphis is incredibly unique and probably the most underappreciated metal band ever,but i guess you may like bands that have some of their features though:Amon Amarth(for the skill level of growls),Opeth(for incredible clean vocals and progressive vibes),Five Finger Death Punch(for amazing deep vocals like Tomi's and some of the melodic vibes). Personally,i also think that A7X,Blind Guardian,Stratovarius,Children of Bodom and Kalmah all deserve to be checked out because they are top notch metal bands but not at the same style as Amorphis.

how is called the technique that the lead guitarist uses to play the main riff? it seems to me like similar to the faunts m4 part 2 guitar? any expert? I play guitar but most acoustic. I would like to know if there's a name for that kind of riffs. sorry for the bad english, I'm from Venezuela.
