About this concert
Over the years, the Ammodo Masterclass has become a household name throughout the world. The three-day masterclass gives four talented young conductors the chance to conduct the Concertgebouw Orchestra while at the same time receiving instruction from a prominent maestro. This time Paavo Järvi will be presiding, sharing his knowledge and experience with the next generation. Under his supervision the candidates will be conducting a varied selection of works from the symphonic repertoire.
The Ammodo Masterclass is invaluable to the conductors participating, to young musicians and to all music lovers looking to learn more about the fascinating interaction between conductor and orchestra.     Exactly that. I would love to see (mostly) all the time the conductor. I want to see what he is doing. It's all about him/her.

    Probablemente, sea debido a la arrogancia y a la timidez. Wagner no es fácil de comprender y Järvi hace su mejor esfuerzo para encontrar las palabras adecuadas para explicar en que se están equivocando los conductores, pero, como es el caso de Zofia quien repite tanto las muletillas "Aja", "Hm-hm", "yeah", "yup!", que supuestamente comunican que ya ha entendido el error y no necesita mayor explicación, los conductores vuelven a presentar el mismo error una y otra vez. En mi opinión, se debe a que probablemente no han leído la obra filosófica de Wagner, que se han acostumbrado demasiado a escuchar música del clasicismo (a la cual se opone Wagner y otros románticos), o simplemente no tienen interés en dejarse influenciar por el romanticismo en general. Esto sucede en muchas otras profesiones, como lo es en la mía, la psicología.
