Amish Life in Lancaster County: 4 Seasons
A look at Amish life in Lancaster County, Pennsylvania across the four seasons of the year. All images by award-winning photographer Don Shenk.
My name is Erik Wesner and I'm not Amish. Back in 2004, I met the Amish while selling books. Since then, I've visited 5,000+ Amish homes & dozens of Amish communities. I run the Amish America website. More: amishamerica.com/

Amazing photos
Thanks for sharing Don Shenk.
Such beautiful country.
Beautiful scenery..I'm fortunate enough to live in western Pa where there's a large Amish community..not 40,000 but large enough where I see these scenes everyday..just got some fresh made apple cider from my Amish neighbors today.. nothing can compare to any of thier homemade goods food or otherwise..always way and above highest quality and best prices ..the Amish here honestly take pride and care in what that make..it's part of their way of life but best quality and best prices brings more commerce and more money..they do like the English money and are usually open to bargain or trade..but be careful they are most wise and Wiley ..I know an Amish gentleman that could sell bibles to the Pope and come out ahead..lol
I live in Ohio. Amish areas are my happy place. Thanks for this. It's a good "Fix" until I go there again.
Absolutely beautiful! Greatly appreciate you sharing.
Stunning photos...reminding us all of the precious gift God has given us in this great land on top of the stellar, unimaginable gift of sweet salvation. Beautiful share.
After all pictures I see from Ohio to Pa. I never get tired of their life and hard work. It just amazes me. Thank you for sharing.
As l watched this video, l was thinking... That’s my favorite photo! No wait, that’s my favorite photo! Oh l wish l had a photo of my Grandson like that! I watched it three times and shared it with all four of my daughter-in-laws. I’m definitely going to see if l can find more of this amazing photographer’s work! Thank you Erik and thank you, Mr. Don Shenk! ♥️👍🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼 P.S. Hooray, l just found two books on Amazon by Don Shenk.. Seasons of Lancaster County and Lancaster County: A Keepsake.
what a beautiful way of living!! :) Lovely video
its lovely to see how God works among us like this. I wish i had the money to come visit and vacate for a while just to help out out of goodwill and learn more about Jesus through and with them. Someday i'll get there. I also want to thank you for being so passionate and sharing your work. Blessings from Sweden.
Thank you
These photos are so wonderful. They explain perfectly why I love visiting Lancaster. The landscapes, the people are simply fantastic. These made me so happy, I could have watched lots more. I really enjoyed the ladies making the snowman, it was just pure fun.
Beautiful.
Very Beautifully Done!! Thank You so much for sharing!!
What beauty 😍💕
Beautiful collection of pictures!😊
Absolutely beautiful in every way! Stunning photos. I live a little over an hour from there and this makes me realize it’s been too long since I’ve visited! I love how the picture of the ladies making a snowman imparts the fact that they are just like the rest of us in many ways.

That was one of my favorite shots. I like the details on the ground as well - the hat which I assume is going on the snowman's head and then what looks like a plastic snowman on the ground filled with some items which I can't make out
I can;t expalin how much I enjoyed this video. Well done and thank you

@@AmishAmerica Yeahh. It reminds me of some of Adina Walter's recent popular videos which have been quite panoramic and scenery-based
Thanks for your informative videos! May be a video about the Brandenburger Family Music ? - Amish Gospel Band

Neat to hear that - I learned that's one of the photographer's personal favorites as well, he talks a bit about it here - sounds like the shot came out of the blue, or the white so to speak: amishamerica.com/amish-images-don-shenk/
250 years didn't realize it ws that long.
👍 💕
