My guest today is boxer Amir Khan.
By 17, he was an Olympic silver medallist; by his mid-twenties, he was a world champion, fighting in Vegas and earning millions.
But this isn’t Hollywood and he isn’t Rocky. He said: “one day I looked at my bank account and it was all gone.”
Last year, he retired, ending his 27 year boxing career with a record of 40 fights and only six losses.
Since then, he has written an autobiography, Amir Khan: Fight For Your Life, to show - and I quote - “there’s more to me than knocking other guys’ lights out.”

Hard to dislike this guy. Funny without knowing it or trying, underrated for his boxing ability. Class act. Paved the way for the British amateurs and always put on a good show.

The broke part is a huge lie! His parents literally invested all his money with his knowledge into real estate and properties! Since getting married Hes had a family fued with his parents and now he trying to make extra money for all his books and tv adventures Hes one of the best paid ex boxers and gets paid huge amounts of money for guest appearances at all these muslim functions he attends! More than most boxers make actually fighting

Yeah, he wasn't as broke as he makes out. His uncle Taz took money from him which he used to go into boxing as Humzah Sheeraz manager but Khan unsurprisingly doesn't mention this in his new book where he talks about how he's put everything in there lol
