AMERICANS TRY DRIVING IN IRELAND!!
In this vlog V and I spend our last day in Dublin and check out some pretty cool spots. The next day we decided to rent a car and drive across Ireland to the west coast where we visit the Cliffs of Moher. We got some pretty cool drone footage from there. We also go to Galway where we almost got into multiple car accidents and got lost.

I was super impressed with that part of the video
The Irish and Welsh were very kind to me when I would get confused at very big intersections in high traffic times which side of the intersection I should be on. Multiple lights and 6 lanes in some roundabouts were challenging. The unexpected thing for me was me disorientation of where in the lane I was: I was used to orienting for 50 years from the left side of the car. And also, in stressfull traffic, my eyes look right for the rearview mirror, and that is now outside the car. Irish drivers were very tolerant and kind.
(Even the window wipers are going the wrong way) LOL...That and V's giggle make me laugh so much :-)) Hope you guys are having a great time :-)

Awesome drone shots... Have fun V & Matt!

Worth watching for her lovely smile
I'm a first generation Irish American and I have driven all over Ireland; from Derry to Kerry, Wexford to Belfast. Taking the N11 through Dublin is one of the worst memories of my life! That's saying a lot since I was born and raised in the City of San Francisco. This was in 1992.
You had me at beautiful bean footage. Subscribed.
so blessed I always wanted to visit Ireland or Scotland places with luscious green country old castles you know Braveheart s*** good for the soul thank you for sharing I really enjoyed this vlog. The Drone footage was great, thanks again.
Me and V with Vs gee oh yeah. do that laugh again V oh yeah 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂⭐️⭐️.
"kill-may-num" jail. cliffs of "mo-her". lol. Lived there as a kid. I dont think I could drive there w/o getting in a wreck, especially if I needed to turn right onto the next road - no way ! You're braver than me ! Google "Wild Atlantic Way", scenic drives all along the coastline. If you ever go back, go visit County Kerry in the southwest.
Sharing a toothbrush is freakin' #TrueLove❤️ Thanks for taking us along and enjoy whats left of your trip! V makes me laugh🤣 👊🏼🙏🏼
The potholes are pretty impressive at times. also the narrow roads are often hard on new RHD deivers
How did you get such nice weather? It rains here almost all year 😂 You were so lucky!

No. Your full US, Canadian or EU driving licence allows you to drive in Ireland both North and South. There is wifi all over, but best to get a local SIM on arrival if you want it on your phone. If you have android phone, just use HERE app and preload Ireland maps before departure (doesn't need wifi to work)
Awesome footage, very nice!

There is one place that is part of the USA that everyone drives on the left hand side. I do it everyday. With left hand drive cars. U.S.V.I.
Next time your in Ireland you should visit this town called Kilkee in Clare it is a small tourist town with a blue flag beach
Thanks guys, enjoy the rest of your trip! V, just rinse real good, after all, you swap spit with Matt, all the time.
loved the blog! you two are hilarious!
By all accounts you seem to have had a good time. Nice to see you've enjoyed our island and people..
so glad to see you both back again
Sounds like you're saying cliffs of mohair :-) But yes, the signage. We don't do that in Ireland, we're just not into it. You are actually meant to find your way around by instinct. It is mystery to me why tourists come to Ireland unless they're into fishing or golf. Apparently we're a top spot for those activities.
The dublin gaol is appearantly a mountain in africa too 😂
I just found your vlog and I love it...you guys are hilarious!! The husband and I are going to Ireland for 2 weeks at the end of April 2018 and we plan to drive while we're there. Any hints other than "don't"? 😂😂

Hi folks! just a few words of advice. First remember to drive by on the correct side of the road! That's on the left side here. So put a sticky note or something on the inside of the windscreen to visually remind you each time you pull out . Get yourself a good road map and plan your trip first. You can get free tourist information books from the local tourist offices around the country and in the hotel lobbies. You will find them very useful in finding out what special things are in each county etc. And Mark them on your map when planning your route. This will help save a lot of time getting around. You can drive up to 60 mph on the freeway but remember the speedometers in the car will be calibrated in kph_ kilometres per hour as well! You can stick a small piece of paper on the speedometers glass to mark the 60 mph spot and it's km equivalent. Some of the most interesting things are often in remote places , and require turning off the freeway on to some much smaller roads, so you have to reduce your speed a lot of course when on those roads. Hope l didn't put you off but I am writing from experience. Have a nice trip...
Ya, sleeping on Quay Street!? No thanks 😂 ye should have stayed in a hotel out in Salthill or at least anywhere other than the main drinking street in Galway CITY 😂
You guys are really sweet ! Love to see my hometown in this light
what do you expect sunshine!? welcome to ireland and the thing about the road umm i would be like omg to the usa road

This is so familiar! We had crazy adventures in our Irish rental car, too! :D
We just got back from Ireland a few days ago. Driving was insane! My car was a manual transmission 6 speed which made it even worse. Plus it was expensive to rent. 5K hold on my credit card which just finally came off> Was V high during this video? LOL
@johnnyplaystore1912
5 жыл бұрын
Yea, that 5k hold seems unique to Ireland (on my travels anyway). Looks to be the same with all rental agencies. It kind of forces people to take the extra insurance - which is expensive and not very fair. I rent outside Ireland and take the ferry there.
Every day would be amazing waking up to such a beautiful lady x

My taxi driver in Ireland here told me that when the Irish fought England they were mostly all right handed so when they rode the horses and had the swords they would be able to hold the sword with their dominant hand and stab the Englishman coming towards them so they started doing everything on the left side so their dominant hand is in the middle

Ok, that was fun
isn't Irelands oldest pub seans bar in athlone?
It's pronounced kil-main-in jail (Gail is how they like to spell it and its the oldest way to spell jail) and cliffs of moe-her
@Gerard_2024

Wiki Games ... Correct. I believe "gaol" is a British variant of "jail". But most Irish people seem to pronounce Moher as "more" these days, instead of breaking it into 2 separate syllables.
Fab. production, Matt and V. Fair and balanced account.
Why didn't you go to irelands oldest pup. Sean's bar Athlone
You should have told me that you were coming to clare I know every tour guide and czn get into most places for free

NELLY KELLY 123321 I agree England doesn't want us but at the same time I don't know if republic can fund a all Ireland and I actually voted to leave EU so it worries me that Ireland plans to bring in a shit ton of immigrants by 2040. I find and other people that visit south there is a bit of hostility towards us north 1s what's the crack with that ?

supremo it's the same wen we go the north. I'm going Belsonic festival next month and I would bring an Irish flag just that I'd probably be stabbed seen with it. And I really don't want immigrants in ireland myself if it was me I wouldn't let many come into ireland as they cause alot of trouble sometimes sure I seen a march that Muslim's want no police, that's mad shit
