Yeast Extract for the Marmite, is made from the yeast, by product from the beer brewing industry. Instead of throwing the yeast away, it is processed with salt and flavourings. That's why it is full of B vitamins, and hence fed to us as kids.

It's heartwarming to see older brother being kind enough to pass food to the younger brother. Both kids are adorable! Regarding Pot Noodles, they are very bland these days after they removed alot of sugar and salt from the ingredients. The secret to a good pot noodle is to throw a load of tomato ketchup in it (or just buy some decent Asian ramen noodles instead). Alternatively the UK has super noodles, which are a far better cheapo noodle snack.

Also pot noodles don't take alot of water, usually just fill mine so the noodles are covered.Recently bought some of the foxes creams, one of my favourite biscuits. Brit here, Branston is best on a cheese and ham sandwich. Or you can use a dollop of it on the side of a salad to give a bit of a tang, or put a bit on a pork pie or sausage roll. Pot noodles are better if you use boiling water and let them stand for about 5/6 minutes instead of just 2 and add the sauce only at the end. Harrod's is way over-priced although they do some really nice stuff. Custard creams are way better with a cup of tea. Cheers!

Marmite is completely vegan and can be used to boost the umami flavour of soups and stews etc by adding a teaspoon to the stock/gravy. Having it on buttered toast is always reminiscent of the sensation of eating an extra strong mature cheddar. In all honesty you picked two of the most bland flavours of Pot Noodle to try, the other one being the sweet and sour (in my opinion). I think the most popular flavours are the Chicken and Mushroom and The Bombay Badboy. The vast majority of the Pot Noodle flavours are in actual fact vegetarian regardless of whether or not they state that they’re meat flavoured, the only one I can think of off the top of my head that isn’t vegetarian is the Carbonara flavoured one. Branston Pickle is mostly used in either cheese and/or ham sandwiches or on a Ploughman’s Lunch, which is essentially a platter with crusty bread, chunks of cheese, pickled onions, a few salad bits and maybe some apple and/or grapes to go along with the Branston Pickle. A Ploughman’s used to be the most common meal served in a pub at lunchtime but they aren’t really that easily found now, which is a bit of a shame as they are a wonderfully balanced and tasty traditional style summertime lunch.

PLEASE - re-try the Marmite. Take a big knob of slightly softened butter (start with half a stick) and add enough Marmite to turn the butter to the colour of weak coffee when mixed together (maybe half a teaspoonful). And I mean weak coffee. Mix it until there are no dark streaks visible. Chill it a few minutes so it isn't runny. THEN spread it thinly on either just warm toast, or soft white bread. THAT is how it was introduced to me as a toddler and I love it. Once you get used to it, you can decide how strong you want it to be. And if you use unsalted butter to start with, you will discover the flavour rather than the salty burn. This method was recommended to my Grandmother by a woman who worked in the bottling plant almost from the inception of Marmite - and her wisdom has stood me in good stead ever since, introducing Marmite to hundreds of people over my lifetime (I am 62). If you don't tell your kids and let them try it several more times, maybe with eggs on the side, they may well come to enjoy it and benefit from all the B vitamins it contains. Loving your content and adore your kids! xxx

Make a buttered cheese sandwich and put a spread of Branson Pickle on top of the cheese. Pretty good! I especially like the Pickle with Bubble & Squeak on Boxing Day at Christmas time!

Marmite iss such a versatile product. you can cook with it, add it to stew, smear it on chicken etc. Personally I use it to grease the axles on my donkey cart.

Lovely video and family. I love Monster Munch, believe it or not, I'm not the biggest Pringles fan, I find them too hard. If you can, please try and test out 'Space Raiders'. I love Branston Pickle on a sandwich with cheese. I've never actually tried Marmite, lol. Beautiful, fun video, thank you guys. Love from Scotland.

Did I stir the pot noodles right to the bottom because the powder has a tendency to go to the bottom so you really need to make sure that everything is mixed. It sounds like u didn’t mix it fully as you said it was bland, which when mixed properly, tbh I find a little too salty. I would give it another dry & really make sure there is nothing left in the bottom undisolved. The other advantage is apart from a fork, there are no dishes to wash as you eat it from the pot😂

Never put marmite on bread without butter and use very sparingly. On toast with lots of butter is best. Get all thoughts of chocolate spread or sweet things out of your head. I'm going to have to go over there and give you Americans a good talking to about marmite 😀. The sharpness of Branston pickle is good with ham, cheese or any fatty or stodgy foods.

Loved that you tried the marmite with cream cheese - when I am on a diet, I often have low fat cream cheese and a thin spreading of marmite on a Ryvita (crispbread - I think you have Ryvita in the US); because marmite barely has any calories, it is perfect for punching up dull diet food with a with bit of flavour! Oh, and I cannot bear Pot Noodle either - just the smell turns my stomach!

Hopefully you're not just gonna try a spoonful of pickle or marmite? I'm not really a kid person, but there's nothing wrong with yours being part of the video. It's actually quite nice to see them. Nice to see you as a family.

marmite with cream cheese is elite, you are so right to want to try marmite and cream cheese together. one of my favourites on toast. also, pot noodles are all rubbish, the only one that gets a pass is the chicken and sweetcorn version but that is probably just nostalgia talking. they're usually eaten by manual labourers on their break for a quick hot carb/sodium fix, don't care what they taste like haha...i agree they're very bland, if i ever eat one i put less water in than it says. and add soy sauce.

Harrods is a tourist traps, best avoided, next time you go, visit Fortnums and Masons. Pot noodles are vile, only eaten by people whose taste buds were shot off in the war. If you thoroughly mix a tiny amount of the marmite into your butter before you spread it into the toast, you avoid one side of your toast being too marmite-y on one bit and barely tasting of marmite in another. So glad you liked the prawn cocktail crisps, they’re my favourite too. Has anyone told you about a “crisp sandwich?” You butter two slices of really soft white bread and then put as many crisps (I recommend salt and vinegar) as you can fit on the bottom slice, before topping with the second slice and pressing down on the sandwich to crush the crisps, this helps to keep them in the sandwich as they stick to the butter. Cut in half and enjoy.

You can buy cheaper cream crackers but Jacobs is the most famous brand Sainsbury's has their own brand. I also eat Branson in a cheese sandwich sometimes with sliced ham and cheese with lettuce.
