Great Aussie band!!! Released in 1988.

Even the recorded version doesn’t have much of the’80’s sound because The Church were going for a classic timeless sound that wasn’t dependent on ’80’s production styles. By the time they recorded this song they were reacting against the sound of the time as they weren’t happy with the production choices that their previous record labels had made on some of their earlier albums. It’s one of the reasons their music stands up so well today- they didn’t go out of fashion because they never were in fashion in the first place.

I would have preferred the original 80s music video when they were young it had a better sound all round as it captures the mystical essence of the song better.

Hear d 2 bands through you guys incl this one that wrote amazing well loved classic songs that when played by any and every other band in existence PLAYED THIS ORIGINAL BETTER than the original band. Sorry but this version is terrible.

Im bored with this ..think l go listen to the spaniards oz rock band that l worked for in the 80s with 3 lead singers in the band and dragons drummer..they had 2 number 1 songs with there late 70s bands.
